These short vids about classical music aren’t really taking off are they ABC Classic ? With a $1B budget (last time I checked), a national radio and television station, access to pretty much any and every musician in the country, we keep seeing the same kinds of results! ABC Classic vids get 89 views, 127 views, at the very best somewhere around 1000 views. Meanwhile, my Chindamo documentary just passed 4000 views, my Kovacevich interview was a massive hit in 4 states (and that was only on a local community radio station - 5MBS!) The first thing people in the ACO did after they watched my Sarah Curro documentary was come up to me to congratulate me and discuss the content! After my tour with Dr Jordan B Peterson people lined up for hours just to say hi afterwards. The video in which Nicolas Carter introduces me before I play Liszt has way more views than most of the videos on your channel . When ABC did have the good common sense to broadcast my duo with Kristian Winther, every serious musician in the country who heard it raved about it for years! More people watched a video of me playing Bach in my lounge room than 5 of your videos combined. And here is the thing, my budget is absolutely minuscule - entirely donated by the 54 people who privately fund my company with the loose change in their pockets. Why is it that I’ve been able to get to no. 1 on the reverbnation classical charts, interview some of the greatest musicians on the planet, receive over 20,000 KZbin views with no advertising budget whatsoever, while the ABC has immense resources and a sizeable budget and consistently fails to arouse the interest of the public? I’m genuinely worried about you ABC! It’s getting embarrassing.
