“If you think you see any detail, it’s all an illusion.” I needed to hear that.

I’m learning with every demo you publish. I’m in a college level oil painting class now, and it’s like dragging a train with my gums. I appreciate your humor, candor, and how easy you make this look, but you give real, useful, boot-on-the-ground direction, and I’m grateful to you for it. I’ve wanted to learn this all my life. I’m 50 this year, and I’m enjoying the process-thank you.

I am so inspired by the kind of "unconventional" tools you use to get certain effects. It makes painting seem more accessible.

I could watch and listen to your lessons all day long. But then I’d never get to my canvas! 😁 Thank you for showing us how to loosen up and not get fixed on details. I’m very detail oriented, which is fine at times. But landscapes have always eluded me because of this tendency. Now I can tackle a landscape unafraid!

I could watch and listen to u all day! But now I’m going to my studio and start creating...oops....paper towels...thank u sir for the inspiration to create...I live here on the south coast of the USA...about 1 mile from the Atlantic...I sit there many morning at 5:00 🕔 and watch the sun come up! Guess I’m looking towards Africa...France I’d have to look north...well England in the way but u get my meaning...ur countryside is picturesque....very inspirational and yes I see it in ur work...blessings to u...

I’m starting to Learn oil paints now and will be trying to reproduce your work as a start then add my own techniques and style to it and have some fun like you , and hopefully sell a few prices for low money if I could achieve that that would be the dream 💭 I would officially call my self an artist 👩🎨

Thank you for doing these videos. As someone that has had only one "official" class in which the teacher just said ok do what you want and if you need help let me know... I really appreciate the videos made as I'm in part visual learner. Only been painting a little over a year. Enjoy all the fabulous art made and the people that take time in their lives to make these videos; it helps others to grasp concepts of painting. Have a great day!!
