Yeah, I'd have a GM and live in one of the little side buildings at their age. Keep up on the books month to month, just to protect your end, and have a little project to keep yourself busy otherwise. With my skills, I'd do baking, because I like it and I've worked in a pastry Cafe that had hand made chocolates so I could make something signature and special and then be on my way back to my retirement.

The show was broadcast in 2010 in 2011 the estate was for sale due to an economic downturn. It sounds as if all the changes didn't result in an increase in income that saved the business. The property is still online with multiple websites touted as primarily a wedding venue. There is description of an underground nightclub. Evidently a family runs the business but it didn't list which family.

This couple needs to actually experience staying in each of their suites. I would imagine that this lady has the same exacting expectations that her customers will have. She needs to actually pack a bag and spend the night, including bathing/showering and dressing in the suite. When staying away from home, one needs a place to put one's things. This cluster makes that impossible. Where do I put my things? How do I style my hair or put on my make-up??? Indeed!
@kidShibuya2 ай бұрын
Honestly I vastly prefer their room to hers. If I were choosing a place to stay as an international tourist anyway. Her rooms are just hotel rooms where as their rooms felt like a very old and expensive house. They just need to up their marketing game and realise that nobody cares about pincushions or cotton wool lol.

they have fallen into the same old trap .... having to decide if they are a private Country estate ... or. .... a business. Having both is balancing act.. you must give your clientele what they are looking for when they pay top dollar. It is a very competitive business, opening your home up to the public in exchange for an income. people want modern comfortability. Very few want to stay in a museum.

I’m so confused on what things cost in the UK. Cuz😅 If I paid 200£/ $254 for a room at the inspectors hotel, I’d be disappointed when I got to my room. It looks like a $120-$150 room in the states. Which makes me feel like she’s doing what she accused tbem of (pricing based on the grounds/building and not the room). honestly, I think just based on the size and character, the castle seems more like 200£/ $250. I think their issues are just technology, marketing, good photos and the sitting room redone. Sure some of the stuff is old fashioned but like.. you’re renting a room in a castle in the country.. if you wanted hella modern you’d have booked in town.. but cha wanted to vibes

These old money people always make me laugh. Living in big houses they can no longer afford, renting out rooms and still claiming it's a 'private house' Haha. A private house would be the bungalow you could afford if you release the tiny bit of equity you actually have and lived within your means.
@Maria_jones163Ай бұрын
It’s Owned that is what makes it private . The same as any hotel even one in a franchise the stores you go to all private property because it’s owned the land is owned it’s not a public building so they aren’t claiming ownership they own it even in debt just like u own ur car even when paying it off it’s still your property same as having a mortgage still ur house there is a difference between private and public opening doors to let public in doesn’t make it public property lol very few buildings u go into are public buildings majority are private
@marvelsomething195229 күн бұрын
Ok? Sure, they can do whatever they like with it, but if they wanna stop bleeding money, they need to make it profitable or cut and run. It's all very well owning a nice house, but if you can't afford to keep it in its current state then owning it isn't exactly helping.

I fear this couple are the type who usually say, 'I think X would be a good idea, don't you agree?' and expect the response, unfailingly, to be 'Yes, of course!' Their own weak, 'Yes', replies to Alex's explanations of her own room designs, when they really mean, 'Oh, no - this isn't us at all!', and the use of 'interesting' instead of 'useful' really do speak volumes. Cotton wool balls just about sums up this couple's general attitude and complete arrogance.
