Run into that all the time....fur out the window or rip all stucco off

Howdy Kirk, that's the correct way to do it. We are the guys they call when improvising is wanted😉

Good evening Peter, Thank you. I would say less than an hour, but that’s with Jason’s mixing the perfect amount for immediate results. Thanks for watching and have a groovy evening. Kirk Giordano plastering

Good evening tcb, Thank you. I best quit messing around and watch it myself as I haven’t had the time yet so I can see if I deserve any of this credit. Thanks for watching and have a groovy evening. Kirk Giordano plastering

Greeting Bieski from Holland, I agree the gypsum plasters seem like whipping cream, I have turned my full hawk upside down a few times to show how well it sticks. My wife and I wish to visit Holland sometime. But alas, stuck here for now. Best wishes, and thanks for watching. Kirk Giordano plastering

Good evening biesk from Holland, no offense taken. That wall was as crooked as a dog’s hind leg. If I were to stucco it true and plumb I would not have gotten paid for my services. I still have yet to watch it. If Jason has not shown the true surface of the wall we will be sure not to make that same mistake again. I simply try and match what is on the original wall. Thanks for watching and have a good evening. Kirk Giordano plastering

Hi Kirk . I enjoyed watching you sculpture the wall . You saved the property owners a lot of money and time. Most people including me would not have seen the bull nose idea. It takes time to think of these different ways to make it blend in with buildings that have been there over 50 plus years. Good video. And great camera work. Thank you.

well, you are handy with your trowel, that`s for sure ! i have been a plasterer for 12 years now and cement based mud is still a bit diffucult to work with.... it doesn`t stick like gypsum plaster for the inside. then again we don`t have much practice over here , most houses are made of brick here in holland, good day to you sir.

how does the waterproofing work around the window to proven water from getting below the window sill?

Howdy Kimberly, thats the reason for the mositer barriors to be installed prior to setting in the doors or windows. Best wishes, Sound advice From your neighborhood stucco geeks

Good evening Jose, I used Eisenwall made by, “rapid set. “Rapid set,” makes Eisenwall, Eisenenwall is still only sold at the plastering materials yards and not at any chain stores. However, "Rapid Set Stucco," is indeed sold at Home Depot, Lowes, and many other hardware stores. Howdy Ally, thank you, it take a bit of improvising when someone installs a door or window too far in or out, but that adds to the fun of plastering. Best wishes, Sound advice From your neighborhood stucco geeks

Howdy Ally my fellow plasterer, many of us are skilled craftsman that clean up messes that need specialized training as yours truly. Sometimes we do earn decent cash and sometimes we don't, what important is to earn enough to keep a roof over our head and food on the table. Hey kirk, why did you put second coat without scratching the first ?
@StuccoPlastering3 жыл бұрын
Excellent question Omar, with same-day or back-to-back stucco applications, the scratch marks are unnecessary as the stucco mud is still moist, creating the mechanical bond. However, If we were going to leave this job for a day, then the scratch marks or keys should be embedded in the stucco.
@kirkdunn1379 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, Don't need it......all stucco contractors use same day stucco for patches....saves time
