I've been doing construction for 19 years I know it's not a long time compared to some people but I've had my fair share and to be quite honest you are one hell of a dude such a positive person I bet it's such a pleasure working with you every video I watch with you in it just shows how much you love what you do and enjoy what you do and that's a great thing to see I appreciate all the help and tips that you do give because there's definitely a lot of people that think these are secrets but come on if you don't have to touch and you don't have to feel no matter how many videos you watched you never going to be able to do it I just wanted to say a lot of us appreciate these videos you put out it's definitely helped my game when it comes to the stucco even though I'm nowhere near as good as you but yeah you definitely saved my ass a bunch of times and I do really appreciate it thank you so much man keep up the good work and I hope the best for you

I agree with that other guy that commented it doesn't take 15 years to learn lace texture. I patched a section of my wall and it's really quite easy after watching a few videos and their technique. The hard part is matching the color 100%. Maybe it seemed easy because I have done alot of drywall mudding. I don't know.

Good morning SZ dude, sort of kinda true, but if someone has these issues, this video does plant a seed of the know-how that's necessary to correct the situation. I believe your right it would take many a long time to learn; however, we teach the apprentices and professional around the world our methods. There are some who, like me, maybe dull in some directions, but their minds neurons fires in this direction.😉 Note: to all subscribers or anyone who stumbles on our channel with a question, type it into our Stucco/Plastering channel, and like magic, a video will appear to explain how it's done. Great video as always. Skip troweling or as we call it here in Florida texturing cant be learned from a video. Takes years of practice. I generally slightly float all my walls. The raised sand finish grabs my texture. Ends up being a pretty lace. It's nice to see another craftsman at work. On to the next one.

Howdy Scott Dude my fellow plasterer, I could not have said that better, in fact that an excellent way of explaining what is going on. you always say cement in your mixes...do I use Portland or can you use a mortar mix? I wasn't sure if it was as strong. last question, how many square feet does a dryvit bucket even go??
@StuccoPlastering7 жыл бұрын
Howdy Mike Portland is cement plaster, Mortar is just another name for muck, mud, plaster, render, stucco, cement plaster etc. A bucket of any acrylic finish will go 6 to 20 yards depending on the sand size (aggregate) Live long and Plaster images for stucco/plastering and teaching video’s

I am trying to match this finish on this video, starts around 50 sec. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iomydqysqL-Jg9U Is his trowel actually touching the wall or is there a constant layer of stucco between trowel and wall? I keep trying, with different trowel angles, soft and hard mix, but cannot seem to get it. He makes it look sooo easy.

You told that secret. I knew that was fine sand to get the lace pattern. People think one word = Lowes. You need to go to the specialized yards that sell those products. And they are much cheaper than Lowes and Home Depot.
@StuccoPlastering6 ай бұрын
Good evening, my Man. There are no secrets to most trades; there is just common sense that comes from years of practice. The material used here is a La Habra fine finish. The grain of sand is called a 20/30 sand finish or medium sand. We buy our materials from professional Plastering yards like "Westside Building Materials," which caters to us licensed professionals. We have to buy and use the best materials as as clients or businesses depends on quality.
