I thought this was a spam bot comment at first glance. I have a bit of difficulty trying to place avatars for my content, most of the other creators in my niche are either wildly successful and in that "I can post whatever I want and it will work" stage, or in the floundering terribly stage, making it really difficult to learn from them.

Your tips are a goldmine! But what about us "intangible" content creators? How do we turn "learning Spanish" into a visually appealing thumbnail? Particularly when using a natural method (so the focus is not on the books). It's like trying to capture the feeling of fluency in a single image! How do you show the "desirable result" (fluency) in a visual way?

This whole video was absolutely fantastic. I LOVE that you filmed it outside, you kept the bear joke going throughout, the camera angles, sound effects, all while giving such valuable information... @@FilmBooth Honestly Ed I could have gone on... There were plenty of things I noticed. Your B roll game was so ON POINT in this... The amount of research you must have done... The thumbnails for the Coffee Fee channel were really good, little things like when you were watching a video and then the audio switched to how it would sound coming out of your laptop outdoors... You really took us with you outside and it was brilliant. Every video you do is a story... Like a movie sometimes. It takes a lot of scripting, editing, re-editing, adding of effects, and I bet there is so much that you filmed that we didn't even get to see because you wanted to trim the fat. I see it all and really appreciate your work. You've become my favourite KZbinr to watch for this type of content, because you're DIFFERENT. You've helped me become a better editor too. Just starting to watch but paused to write this comment. So with every vid I do I strive to do better and with my last vids I started getting better views than I've had for a while, but then it came to a holt as I'm only able to put up a vid every 3 weeks due to the time to film and edit them and other commitments in life (work, wife, house reno). I've noticed after 2 weeks the videos stop being pushed as suggested videos, etc and my views drop way off. I can fully understand this happening as new content is uploaded by other popular film makers in my niche. All I can seem to do is feel depressed and just keep pushing myself to make better videos because I love doing it. I'm currently at a bit over 3,500 subs with 76 videos after 2 3/4 years of banging away at it. Thanks for the great videos by the way, I really appreciate them... Rob
