This is pretty much how my problem presented I asked you about a few weeks ago. It ended up being a loose ground in the panel that ran out to the batteries. My FIL loosened it when we were changing the original converter out and didn't realize he did that. I found it after 4 weeks of messing with stuff

I would have checked power across the battery disconnect switch, maybe you did. Might have been rodent damage or a hidden disconnect, we will never know. Thanks for the video, Kenny. Have a good week.

Yep, the sound of the solenoid is telling, not enough DC "oomp" or magic smoke to run everything. Good video, good diagnosing job. If you would have had just a little more time you would have had it fixed.

On mine a weak battery was the cause. It had power but when under load it would drop below needed amps and shut off.

Nice job. Kenny. I wonder if there's another breaker where the power feed from the trucks umbilical cord connects. Perhaps the cable from the truck, the converter and the battery all converge there. A bad breaker in that location would explain why it didn't charge on the way to the camp ground. You know how they like to scatter those little breakers around the belly of trailers with no rhyme or reason.

Great video. I’d have expected another disconnect for the converter/power center. I wonder if it could be tucked in the basement, water bay or some cabinet somewhere.

I realize that couple of days later when I was editing this video. I called the guy and he found the disconnect in the water door. All is good.

@@hillbillyrvthat’s what I was going to suggest. That’s where mine is and several friends. I don’t have one in where the batteries area, yet. I’ve converted to 6 volt batteries and a solar system. I’m going to change the 1500 watt inverter to a 3000 watt so I can power the plugs and microwave and I’ll also add a 300 amp circuit breaker.

Dead or under charged batteries. You might have the voltage at the converter, but you don’t have the amperage to run the jacks. There was probably a relay or (contactor) inline with the battery and jacks. Had you had more time and if the batteries weren’t ruined from under voltage they would have started charging up again to do the job. Too bad you couldn’t have the trailer owner run the switches while you went and located the relay noise. I carry a battery load tester and that would have at least checked the health of the batteries. Multimeters can’t do that.

Not sure what year yours is, but it may be an undersized auto reset breaker. Keystone has a TSB to replace the 50amp breaker to the hydraulic pump with an 80amp breaker. I'd check that first. It should be on the back wall behind the batteries. In Kenny's video above, the two breakers are the ones he had to remove the covers from below the cut off switch to the inverter for the fridge.

I really enjoy all of your videos, I wish we lived closer to you because I would love to meet you. I have questions about this video. I never thought of using a jump pack to bring in slides and feet up if the battery died. Would this jump pack that you use be big enough to pull in two rack and pinion slides, a schwintek slide and four feet on our electric lippert auto level if needed? Is there something better to use if the battery in the RV dies? I know I could use jumper cables from my truck to the battery to pull in the slides but then I would need something to bring up the legs when hooked up to the hitch.

I think it would work.

Is it possible that the battery isolation cutoff in the wet bay is turned off? It looks like a big red key. If you can pull the key out, the converter is disconnected from the battery. Turn the key so that it you can't pull it out. It should be located below the shower faucet in the wet bay. On mine, it's just below the key tv box on the right side of the wet bay wall. At time index 11:48 in the video, I can see the key tv lit up on the right above the low point drains, but I don't see the big red key. Only the place where it plugs in between the key tv box and the low point drains.
