Top quality presentation. I watch quite a few "mechanic" videos and this ranks among the best. The story is told entirely without the need for naration or text. The viewers time is not wasted hunting for tools. Each shot seems to be set up nicely. Give your compressor to neasest neighbor and buy a long hose. Thanks for sharing your great skills!

Do you think the king pins had been replaced before. He is A true professional. To have a jacks all set up to hold the springs and axle.👍 This would take me the better part of the day, your video looks like it can be done in 20 minutes 🤣🤣🤣😛😛 Thanks again

I put hardwood blocks under the axle when driving king pins. I do not trust jack stands to hold up to the shock and stress of a ten pound sledge. I have seen pins so rusted into the axle eye that we had to cut the thrust bearing and pin. Then drive 3 pieces out separately.the joys of working on farm trucks in rural areas That leaf spring cradle on the floor jack is a good idea.

That's what happens when you grease those king pins to much.

Weld 1 " cable to striker pin. No shock to the poor bugger holding it.

Beat the sides of the axle around the pin with a large ballpein hammer.

Fighting a tapered Mack concrete mixer right now. I've managed to fuse the bearing to the kingpin, cut a slice out, completely screw the grease cap threads and now the kingpin/remaining fused bearing top plate move freely up and down an inch lol. Hitting my 10lb with my 30lb just seems to make it angry

Those outer bearings aren't lubricated? I assume those can't be the actual wheel bearings right? Are they just to help with the brakes or something?

The chassis stand below the king pin is not a solid support for the pin to slide down put a solid pieve of steel underneath anf the pin wil just move
