Go look online at previous cases of students doing this very same thing in a lesser manner than 2 slaps to the face. Then you'll notice a white kid did the assaulting in those situations and they are 100% charged with a felony battery and assault. Same state, same situation with totally different consequences. Look to the DA for the super light sentence. Odds are, they are lefty liberal and a democrat politically speaking. Sad day that's only going to get worse!!

This is when teachers should have every legal right to defend themselves. When I was a teen in high school (1980's) no student would raise up on a teacher like this, especially a woman teacher. The students that were in a gang never messed with teachers like this because the teachers still treated them with respect, but the students that were in a gang would have hemmed this dude up on lunch break or after school. That student would have been scared to exit the school.

A teacher should not fear for their job when a student attacks them. They should be able to defend themselves. And not one student left the classroom and went to the office for help. All of this goes back to the home. And then the parent(s) will be all in arms saying they're picking on my child and want to sue. No your little delinquent needs some discipline. What I don't get about this story is what happened to the security guards. Here in California, security guards in schools are mandatory and the requirement for school security is probably enshrined in state law. The irony is that it seems like politicians in the Southern bible belt states like the Carolinas will be the first to sign off on sending large amounts of funding to an unhinged Israel, yet there hasn't been any money in those state budgets set aside for campus security. SMH.

Teachers and staff should be enforcing the rules more and disciplining students when they misbehave and or break the rules, and not be afraid to say the word “no.” For example: If a student won’t put away his or her phone, the teacher should just grab it and not let the student get away with anything. The second thing that I want to mention is that people have the right to defend themselves if they are being bullied, they shouldn’t get suspended from school and face disciplinary action for it. To quote Dr. Phil: “You don’t reward bad behavior!”

"0h I seen the video he smacked that teacher violently like a man would slap another man it was horrible he should be terminated immediately & permanently face charges that should not be a misdemeanor but for violent assault upon a female teacher this was horrible if he'd do that to a female teacher what would he be willing to do to another student ? 😢 I hope that teacher is ok physically & mentally knowing her male student was willing and capable of that kind of abuse not once but twice... Its hard to watch the video ... Those direct smacks should be felony not some little misdemeanor lightly tap of his hand ... But a hard smack of reality he sure put upon his teacher who was sitting down by the way her desk... Thank God for that she wouldn't hit the ground for sure with eitherof his blows to her face...

Just charge them as an adult, alot of these kids act this way because they know they can go to juvenile hall with ither kids. Charge them as an adult if there in highschool if it's a physical violent crime towards a staff member (or charge them with assaulting an officer) and once words gets out they going to real jail even for a week they will stop this behavior as they will be the one getting slapped, laughed at and recorded.

This young man should be punished for what he did, it’s despicable. It is also despicable that you think it isn’t racist to think only one race is responsible for this kind of behaviour. Majority of mass sniper shootings of innocent people for fun seem to be done by non-blacks from what I see on the news. Blacks are fatherless and privileged I guess which is why they ALL like to slap teachers and such. Why do non-blacks act out or commit crimes? Just pure evil? Environment can play a role in people’s behaviour, yet it is baffling how kids raised in great communities and who are well off, still act out and do atrocious things. In the end it will still come down to the individual, regardless of race, environment, and beliefs.
