The student experience also includes consistent racism and inequity in every part of the university

@@nocommonsense8950 Richmond is very very much a high school not a college, it has a variety of cliques that you are either in or out, the social life is dominated by Greek Life and its unavoidable in the college. In addition, in my time there I have seen/heard multiple times about racist/sexist/harassments and other actions that the school has avoided solving and just disregarded as they knew we would graduate. Among these are the following: A black friend of mine that was called the N word by another students (nothing happened he just denied denied), a female student being harassed by a by a another student and having to transfer to finish her college education (while the school did nothing, and also added him as a walk on to the football team), a girl who complained as well about harassments getting her car keyed because people were trying to silence her. This is just a small part of what to expect in the rich/white/frat dominated University of Richmond. It has excellent academics/financial aid but for normal/nice people who aren't coming from the richest homes its an awful social scene and one that you can avoid at comparable schools

@@nocommonsense8950 It is something to consider. I graduated in 2018. But I would talk to recent graduates that may have a background close to yours and can give you a better idea of Richmond from their perspective. Look up the facebook groups for each grad year and reach out to people and just be honest and you would be surprised how helpful they can be about giving you more info than I had at the time and regretted not considering or being aware of ahead of time (an international student)
