The demolition team that ripped a 3 story 70s buliding down in my town lost out! The copper tube in there was a diameter of 100mm all in £5000 big job!

Built in 1988-9. So very recent with recent construction methods that are still very energy efficient. Unfortunately the housing developers that bought the plot make a huge profit on the shoebox houses that will replace them.

Are these being offset by new student accommodation buildings elsewhere? Someone I know who is in university is at risk of being without anywhere to stay next year as her current building (a different building originally built as regular apartments in the 1960's) is being sold off and there is no replacement planned. If no alternative can be found it would mean driving from her family home when she lives which normally takes over an hour and a half one way and that is without traffic, she once took four hours to get home once due to motorway closures.

There is no profit made selling them cheap or giving them away, that is why affordable housing projects plans are being changed to 4-5 bedroom as they are worth more money per area of land.
