Demolishing the structure from the top and working down is the guaranteed way to have uncontrolled debris falling in any potential direction. Look at all that empty space next to it! Is a controlled collapse too far out of the question?! If I were the demo expert here, I’d rig up some method of cutting a notch in the base until the tower falls. For one, it’s more spectacular. But two, it’s frickin’ controlled! There’s a big guarantee that it’ll fall in the direction of the cut into emptied space with zero harm done, with no concern for nearby houses!

The commentary is absolutely ridiculous. 'Its a battle', no its not'. 'If it did go wrong', it won't. 'It could lay straight across the rd', it won't. And at 1.02, surprising it took that long, 'there's a major problem'. 'One wrong move now could cause the tower to crash into the houses' I could go on and on and on. Ridiculous.
