@MiaMountainLover Those rented out by the student union are meant for students only. But in many cities you'll find lots of private flat shares (Wohngemeinschaften) which you can apply for, if they happen to have a spare room.

@Necroave666 well, in general yes, everyone with a valid driving licence can own a car. But keep in mind that it does not only cost money to buy one but insurance and most of all gas is expensive too. At the moment prices are up to 1,60 Euros for one litre.

@Themusicaligera On the BBC website under languages there is an interactive basic course that covers German among several other languages. There is even a German word of the day. Check your local library for books and audio tapes on learning German and , of course, study videos like this one. That's what I'm doing and it seems to be slowly but surely working. Best of luck!

@SiggiNebel12 жыл бұрын
That's true, as far as "Tschüss" is actually meant. It possibly derives from the Spanish "a diós" or maybe the the French "à dieu" via the German adaptation "adjes", which was quite common in the 19.century and finally transformed into "tschüss" in a northern German pronounciation. But "Tschusch" (allegedly derived derived from a Slavic word for "listen!") is a not very friendly Austrian word for foreigners, especially those from the Balkan states.

Hallo, Max! Ich muss mal was fragen... wo wohnen Sie in Deutschland?

Hi Max, I'm a Hong Kong college student studying French in Hong Kong. I am extremely interested in German language and culture besides French, so I would like to study Bachelor (Biz management/ Communication Taught in ENG, with German course)in Germany the coming September. I wanna know if there is any other ways to find people share apartment?I'm definitely interested in sharing apartment with people instead of living alone in the student dorm. On top of that, I would like to know if there are good school/uni recommended with no tuition fee?(as my parents would not support me). I have searched for some, but not sure if that's a good uni with ample support to international student, like DHBW LÖRRACH, ESB Business School &Reutlingen University.( I am open to any place in Germany as long as there are events coming on in the town & opportunities to find an internship ) What's your opinion? Thank you so much! Cheers Natalie

+Natalie C. Hi Natalie,A lot of helpful information about finding accommodation in Germany is available at: www.study-in.de/en/life/finding-a-flat/ There exist different forms of accommodation for students in Germany. One of these are the student dormitories in the university towns. Adresses of student dormitories can be found by using the dormitory search Wohnheimfinder. If you already know at which university in Germany you will study you can use the Wohnheimfinder to search for student dormitories: www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-stay/accommodation/dormitoryfinder/. In case you do not find your university there please contact the local student service organisation (Studentenwerk) or the international office of the university you have chosen for information about opportunities to find a flat. More information about forms of student accommodation you can find here: www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-stay/accommodation/.Best wishes,Your study in Germany-Team

hey , how much does it cost for living in the university area(hostel) itself?
@StudyinGermany_de7 жыл бұрын
Hi, compared to other European countries, the cost of living in Germany is quite reasonable. The largest expense is your monthly rent. In most cases, applicants have to prove that they have a specific amount at their disposal for one year. For more information, visit our website-section on money and costs www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-stay/money-and-costs/ Best wishes, your Study in Germany Team
