I cannot receive the story about the $1, 500 loan and the U.S. Marshall. Did he get his education through the U.S? Military or did he lie on the application to get the loan? You cannot always believe someone's story without probing.

Some states like WI have teacher student loan forgiveness for federal loans if you work for qualifying schools for 5 years. There’s a cap on it I think? But either way it can cut a significant chunk off of your debt if you qualify

If your student loans are forgiven, you will be taxed on the amount, however, you will not be required to pay the tax as long as you can continue to prove Insolvency (liabilities are greater than assets)!

This is not true for the PSLF program. It’s a tax free forgiveness program.

I haven’t watched the video yet but FYI if you are on SSD (disabled) you can call your student loan lender and ask for a loan forgiveness. If you are approved then they will erase your student loan. ❤️

@@AdaliaAborisade I’m not sure, I know Sallie Mae does it. I suggest that people contact their loan lenders or search google for loan forgiveness with their exact lender’s name. ❤️

You have to be Totally Disabled (level 6, no possibility of improvement), most people on Disability are level 3 or lower and will not qualify for this automatic discharged announced today. To apply at a level lower than 6, you will have to get a Doctor to swear in writing that you are not capable of doing any type of work, most Doctors will not do it.

@@AdaliaAborisade i actually haven’t much, I looked at New Zealand once and it looked expensive. Also I’ve struggled finding school psychology programs. However, I did read something on Germany I may look more into.

@@bugga179 Quite a few European countries have programs taught in English, including Germany. Typically tuition, IF you have to pay, is in the hundreds of dollars. Worth checking out.

No but they probably exist. If no, you might want to look into pharmaceutical companies as well.

There are forms specific to the program that need to be complete that verify that your employer and your position meet the program requirements. You will also need to submit tax return info so that they can verify what you earn.

The seven year information is not correct. After seven years they can do nothing!it is the law both civil and from the Word of God as well.

If you’re a public servant, the loan will be forgiven after 10 years. What about teachers that work abroad?

Unfortunately I can't but you should join some of the online spaces for international educators and ask there if they know of schools that are 503c organizations

Parents shouldn't take out plus loans, they should consider allowing their children to declare themselves Independent. By making this move the student will qualify for more grants, however the parent will lose them as a deduction on their taxes. Remember, even if a student dies, the parent cannot get out of paying off a Plus Loan!
