When you get a college loan and you don't actually learn anything in college it will be hard to pay your bills.

The colleges are also to blame. They offer degrees that you can't make a living. They encourage students to take on more debt than they need. Need to put the loans in the hands of the colleges. Then we'll see how much they are willing to loan out.

Compound Daily from the inception of the loan. The interest are outrageous.

Discovery period? At 17, when I started my senior year, my dad asked me what I was planning after graduation because I wouldn’t be living at home. The next month, joined the Army via the delayed entry program. My mother had to sign since I was under 18. Three weeks after graduation, was on the bus headed to basic training. Now, 45 years later, making just under $300k a year and about ready to kick back and retire. My dad may have had a harsh approach but, he saved me from the student loan trap.

In person university wasn’t a good experience so I have out my learning on pause-I was lucky to only walk out with $5500 in student loans. PAYMENT ALLOCATION IS SO IMPORTANT!!!! My minimum is $59.95 with a 2.99% interest rate. I pay $75 but will start doing $100 - my monthly accrued interest will be around $22.71 and the rest goes to my principal. Luckily, I’ve had experience with loans and financing already but people need to PAY their student loans I can’t believe how many people don’t do it.

People have been screaming at the top of their lungs that this is a problem for years now. People love ruining their lives.

These people forget that the interest is the one thing that bites you financially in the long-term. She was only paying the minimum and could've been making small payments to reduce the amount of interest paid.

Apparently these students never took math and learned the power of compound interest.

I'm a Canadian who went to college to study both graphic design and nursing and I owe absolutely nothing for my education. Now after nearly 10 years, I've finally figured out what I truly want to pursue and am heading back to school. I feel incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to explore different career paths without it becoming a lifelong financial burden. If I had done this in the U.S., I’d likely be over $100K in debt by now... it's crazy.

The math is mathing These people just don’t understand how interest rates work I heard that some people with student loans have monthly payments of $100 while owing like 50k How does that make sense $100 dollars doesn’t even cover the payments and it definitely wont cover the interest

It is a way to have the compound interest skyrocket
