The fact the mother knew the truth about her daughter’s real father and didn’t say a word is outrageous. She should have told her husband about this sooner. Now all he got was a broken heart once he found out he was not the father.

What I find truly disgusting is the daughter's behavior after this scene. Instead of being confused or angry or despondent about the situation, she smiles and says that her father could not be a simple garbage man. The good man who loved her, was proud of her, took care of her, who was her father for 17 years and just got the biggest heart-break of his life... she just dismisses like that because of his job. That poor man deserved better. Far better

Out of all the plot twists on SVU, THIS one in particular, for me, was perhaps the WILDEST plot twist. You could feel it building too during that scene in the squad room, like it was finally going to all come out all at once. And then afterwards the daughter literally says "I knew my father could have never been a garbage man". Wowsers.

Wait what? The mother looks like she's in her early 40s, she wouldn't have been underage when they slept together 17 years before, and she also apologizes to her husband for cheating so they were probably married at that point. She wouldn't have known he was a pedophile, but yes it's still morally wrong to send the daughter for music lessons with him. It was probably her way of wanting her to know her biological father.

My NUMBER 1 FAVE Phrase used in this episode is when OLivia says to Hailey, "He was not thinking about you, He was THINKING ABOUT HIMSELF..." SO TRUE. i mean, if he REALLY Cared for Her/Cared about her, he would not have seduced her and got into bed with her. He's CLEARLY SICK. But I also must say, Hailey is sick too. as she Gave in to it when she Should have immediately ran away and Told her Family and the Police EVERYTHING. In the end, When its shown Hailey actually enjoyed what james did to her and she wants to spend more time with him and Olivia closes her eyes like the Way she did, Show's hailey is indeed also VERY Disturbed herself.

From my perspective, Anna's the guilty party in this scenario. Bad enough James couldn't keep it in his pants after he had his fun with her, but she should've told him the truth about Hailey. As for Chris, I wouldn't know what to say to him after such a disturbing revelation. He was played like a goddamn fiddle. And Hailey, that girl has well and truly gone bye bye.

The garbage man who had spent sixteen years of his life raising and loving her as his own daughter, despite them not sharing the same interests, was nothing to her. James has been and remains her whole world more than ever. No one else matters to Haley.

He knows just as much as the mother does. I think that he reacted with shame not because he didn't know, but because he couldn't face it being said out loud. Especially in front of other people. Because now everyone knows, and many of them also will believe that he knew what he was doing. So I still think he's worse than Anna.
