I was getting bullied at my previous school. It was pretty bad, and I told my guidance counselor (keep in mind she was the only adult I really trusted in that school) She made up a lot of different excuses to avoid my issue. And then she came out with the truth. "I'm friends with your bully's mom". That was frustrating to hear, and made me feel defeated. Edit: Thanks again to everyone who liked this comment, this was my first time sharing a personal story on social media, and as always I hope everyone is having a good day!

I used to have a teacher who we are gonna call Mrs. Jackson. She was my ELA teacher in 6th grade. She was the DEFINITION of “the bell does not dismiss you, I DO.” One day, the bell rang, but she wouldn’t let anyone leave. She said that once we finished our work, we could leave. Yea, it was a 30-minute-long assignment and if I completed it in class, I would miss almost all of my PE class. I just stood up and walked out of the classroom. she got mad and I got suspended. When I told my mom what happened after school, she sued Mrs.Jackson. She was later fired for taking away a student's learning time for absolutely no reason ( if I'm suspended I don't get to learn because I'm not at school) and we got a new teacher. The new teacher's name was let's say, Mr.Smith. He was awesome! He was super fun and we would play kahoots & blookets all of the time. Edit: ok, I didn’t think I would get this many likes. This comment is almost at 100 likes 😮 Edit 2: JEEZ THIS HAS SO MANY LIKES! THIS IS MY SECOND-EVER POPULAR COMMENT! THANK YOU!!

In 5th grade I got infected with ulcerative colitis, which is a disease that messes up your large/small intestines and needless to say the amount of times I was in the bathroom on top of the amount of stomach cramps I'd get was torture. Now I was missing out on a lot of school days because of this but my teachers were supportive and understanding along with my classmates, expect for my 5th grade science teacher. I genuinely felt like she hated me even though I was quite in class and listened to what she had to say, she would constantly fail me on tests and I even caught her marking right answers as wrong. I was surprised I was able to move on to 6th grade, but I feel like someone had to tell this idiot that she wasn't making my life easier by failing me but making it more painfull then it was.

My friend was being bullied by a teacher for a while as well as a few students. Turns out the reason the students were bullying him was because the teacher told them they would all get a passing grade if they were to bully him. All this because apparently the teacher was an ex of my friends dad and wanted to get back at him through his son. Me and the principal who was a good friend of my dad's instantly shut that down and got her fired. We also found out she was cheating on her husband with one of those students so yeah, now she's divorced and failing at life so it a win for my friend

In my school we have a teacher/assistant principal that abuses her power. A example is that she sent my friend to ISS for wearing a hat even though it was the last two minutes before school ended. Another story which was way worse, it was raining heavily and my friends sister who is a freshman came to school and got dresscoded for wearing something that looked like pajamas. She didn't have anyone to pick her up so she could change, so she tried to call and uber. The teacher/assistant principal got angry at her for trying to call an uber, and then told her to walk home to get changed. She told a 14-year girl to walk home in the rain to get changed. What didn't help is that my friend lives like 40 minutes away. She would have been drenched wet, and probably gotten sick. Some adults really do need to chill out.

I had a math teacher who hated me for some deep internal reason. I think he saw me as a muscular, black, athlete and immediately assume I was a troublemaker. Any and all actions I would do in class were met with bullying from him and pure disgusting malice. I have never seen such an abuse of power and sheer delight in malice before. The thing that made me know it wasn’t normal was that other students confronted me on the issue and would talk to me about it. Once, his favorite student literally cussed out a sophomore in his class twice, then berated another student and essentially called her stupid. His response was to ask this kid if he was ok. I on the other hand was chastised for saying “that sucks” in class once. He would also do things like encourage other students to bully me, move my water jug to sun to make the water lukewarm, and even told my mother that I was a bad student and a horror to have in class. She believed him as well! Really fucked with my mentality for years seeing as how I was a good student, so good I even got a massive scholarships to various colleges and was the epitome of “i am not looking for trouble”. The worst part is, I never reported him either! I was so use to getting bullied, so when he would give me crap, I would go “ah yes…a typical day in my life”. I feel like trash because I just enabled him to attacked students who came after me.

My PE teacher at middle school literally didn't consider me a distinct human being because I was bad (not even that bad, just below average) at sports. She bullied me and encouraged other students to do it as well. One day I basically just told her I wasn't going to tolerate it anymore. She lost it completely, and I literally thought she was gonna bit me. But after that day she suddenly left me alone. I'm still unsure if she admitted I could stand up for myself that day and started to respect me after it, or if she just understood I was almost in an affected state and that one of us could be hurt next time.

I had two infuriating substitutes. The first one we shall call Ms. Coyote. This was 4th grade. I didn't personally have a bad experience with her, but I witnessed something I will never forget. Ms. Coyote was teaching math class, and one of my classmates who sat in the front corner, who we will call Olivia, was quietly chatting with her friends. We were about to do something with Algebra I think when Ms. Coyote stopped the lesson and started *screaming* at Olivia, yelling that if Olivia were driving a car, she would be dead, and all her loved ones would hate her for being so careless. Keep in mind, we were around 9 then. Thankfully, she was fired, and I never saw Ms. Coyote again. The next story occurred in 6th grade, also in math class, with a teacher we'll call Ms. Lemons. I had finished all my homework and was drawing a fairy OC with a floating head. I remember being really proud of it. I was just starting to add the outfit when Ms. Lemons walked up to me and picked it up and walked away. After class, I went up to her and asked where it was because she didn't return it like I thought she would. Without hesitation she said, "Oh. It's in the trash." I was really angry and asked her why. She just said, "You should be paying attention in class," *even though* I had already explained to her I had started and completed the homework within the first few minutes she had started the lesson and had nothing to do. However, she just said she would report "my behavior" to the principal. Thankfully, I got my OC out of the trash before anyone emptied the garbage. I still hate that teacher and she is arguably the most-hired substitute that school has ever had. For that reason, I also have a grudge against the principal. Note: I told my principal what she did and explained that I didn't have anything to do and that Ms. Lemons had no write to get rid of my art, and *I* was the one that got in trouble. I swear I'm fuming writing this.

This actually happened today: I was in class and I was quite chatty. I am insecure about many things, so naturally I stopped talking because I wondered if I was bothering the guy I was sitting next to. After a while, I was explaining the assignment to the guy next to me and the girl behind me started talking to me. (This girl was really toxic and annoying, but she didn't know she was. She was also SO much more chatty than I was. She had to be moved around the class so often so she'd stop talking. She's my ex-lockermate) The reason she started talking to me was because something fell off a student's desk and some guy said "It's Casper the Ghost!" People started laughing, and this is when she started talking to me. She said "I have a cat named Casped" when she doesn't actually have a cat, she just wanted attention. Then, I was about to tell her to shut up, when the teacher yelled at me for talking, and told me to change seats. I liked where I was sitting and everyone around me, except her. It was embarrassing and I tried to laugh it off. She was my ex-lockermate and I told her the reason I changed lockers was because I couldn't reach the backpack haters at the top, when I actually could and was taller than her, but the real reasoning changed seats was because she never stopped asking me to get stuff for her out of our locker, got me in trouble for talking various times, and was just overall toxic.

I had a band teacher in middle school that almost made me pay for an instrument I didn't even brake. I was a percussionist in a small beginning band class, and I realized that the snare drum I got out didn't have the snares on the bottom working no matter what way the latch was turned. So as a drummer for about 8 years at that point, I decided to try and fix it. The teacher saw me messing with the snare trying to fix, came over and interrupted the whole class just to yell at me for tampering with his instrument and threatened to make me pay for a replacement if it wasn't working. I never usually reported things in my middle school (because I already had a terrible reputation because of dumbasses spreading rumors) so I could just be accused of lying and shoved off or even get in MORE trouble. Reported it to the office after school and basically nothing happened. All I heard is that he got a warning to not do it again (Wow, REALLY helping here guys) He hated me for the rest of his class, kept calling me a disgrace to all the other members in the band. Even though all of the other people knew that I was the percussionist that was there. He's still there to this day and I hope I never see him in person.

Jesus Christ, I remember something similar that happened back in my intermediate (middle school) years. Two of my friends and I had been sitting eating our lunch by a tree, when one of the science teachers/our science teacher, Miss Lynn (a lazy, know-it-all type of teacher who believed that whatever she said wasn't up for debate), came up to us in a rage. She accused us of stealing three of her rather expensive magnifying thingies (I forgot what it's called lmao, but they're worth thousands of dollars) at recess just because we'd been hanging around the building. Mind you, we hadn't even been in her class that week, we were due for that class at the end of the week. So she threatened to take us to the principal with her apparent "proof". The proof was just a random jacket someone from a different class had left behind. She accused me of being the owner of the jacket because I hadn't been wearing mine (I'd left mine in class). Anyway, I wasn't having any of it. I argued back, stating that there were cameras in and around the building, and that they were better proof than any old jacket could be- it literally showed who the thief was. She then moved on to saying that they were broken, and had been for almost two years. This seemed off to me (like wtf? If a camera's broken, wouldn't you say something to the head of school?), so I said I'd be happy to bring the matter of broken cameras to the principal along with the "stolen devices". She clearly wasn't happy about that and apologized, saying she must have had the wrong kid (obviously it was too late anyway, lol). A few days later, it was discussed with the principal. Turned out the cameras _hadn't_ been broken. We found out that the damn bitch'd been lying to extort money out of parents and families for a year and a half, and I would have joined her who knows how many number of victims had I not spoken up. And before you ask, yes, she was fired. She was also taken to court and had to pay a hefty fucking fine :). Fuck you, Miss Lynn. You couldn't teach better than a cabbage could. Edit: grammar lol.

Never really commented on any of these before, but I have a short story that still gets on my nerves a year later. Second period Cooking 2 class. It was my senior year and my teacher’s last year/semester before retirement. It was evident she didn’t care too much about her own class at this point because all through my previous years she was regarded as the “good” cooking teacher because she was so laid back. But I guess my particular class got on her nerves because one of the groups was 4-5 of the snobby abrasive girls who are notoriously rude and rebellious. About halfway through the semester one of them did something that caused her to snap. She scolded us for maybe 10 minutes straight and threatening us to start putting our phones in the holder. Fast forward maybe two weeks before the end of the semester. People hadn’t cared to shape up about their phone usage and continuously make salty remarks about it. Well one day I was watching my phone like a damn hawk the entire day, because on that day, my mother was in the hospital getting brain surgery done and I was worried about her. So I was keeping in contact with my stepdad who was making sure I was kept posted with info. Teacher breaks us into individual work and I didn’t know what was going on. So I admitted this to the teacher and she goes “What? We’re you not paying attention then? Actually who am I kidding, none of you pay attention because you’re always on the cell phones.” Any other day I think I would have taken that sitting down. But I think that plus the stress just broke me. I raised my voice and said something along the lines of “I’m sorry but I actually have a reason for once. My mom is in the hospital having brain surgery and I am worried about her. I’m prioritizing her health over class today and if that’s going to be a problem and you’re going to be rude about it then I’ll excuse myself and probably even go home. Today is not the day for this.” The whole class gets silent. I’m on the verge of tears. Teacher looks at me dumbfounded for a few seconds creating big tension in the room. Finally she responds real quietly: “I’ll excuse you from the assignment this class. I’m sorry.” First time I REALLY stood up for myself on something. Teacher didn’t make any more comments regarding the phones for the remaining classes. Ended up passing and graduating, teacher retired, and yes, my mom’s procedure went perfectly and she’s still thriving. I guess the moral of the story is that you never know when somebody’s actually going through something, and you should be more professional when accusing a student about slacking off because of it. I don’t have anything personal against the teacher, but I’m also glad I’ll probably never have to see her again anymore.

I relate to that last one. In 2nd year of my undergrad, we were given a film project to do which made up like 80% of that module. Then covid hit. So me and my peers in the course were messaging each other about how we were all relieved we wouldn't have to do the project as the UK government had pretty much forbidden people from leaving their houses unless it was absolutely necessary. Moreover, all of us had moved back home away from the places we were filming about and there were just 2 weeks left before submission. Guess what. Our lecturer came back and told us we still had to complete it. There was an uproar from the class and somehow i managed to put an entirely different film together in 2 weeks. It was very rushed and was on a less exciting topic. When we published the films to our websites, i wrote what was essentially a structured rant underneath the video, essentially condemning the uni for forcing us to RISK OUR HEALTH AND LIVES OF OURSELVES AND FAMILIES to produce a film or else likely fail the course. I ended up getting 80% for the film and the rant is still there to this day. A friend of mine on a similar course failed to graduate for refusing to continue producing a similar project. Absolutely unforgivable. I'd have stormed up to the dean if i hadn't got 80%. Don't fck with students. Possibly as a result of its many failings, i read recently that the university is losing money.

There was a kid at my college who was very smart and extremely motivated. He asked what he could do for extra credit. The teacher said that if he took excellent notes on the entire textbook, along with a report on every chapter of the book and a 1 page essay per chapter on why the chapter was important, he would be guaranteed an A in the class. The final bundle he turned in, in front of us all, was over 200 pages. It was beautiful, all perfectly organized and in a 3 ring binder complete with color coded tabs to separate the chapters. She said, "I can't accept that is it would be unfair to the rest of the class." This was a law enforcement class in college, and there were several actual cops in the class. They were absolutely appalled. They were there when she made that promise. An older student, (30 years old or so) was thrown out of the class for calling her a b**** and absolutely demolishing her. He also said, "No wonder you got fired for being a cop. You have ZERO integrity." This was the last class, and the grades were already finalized. She, in front of everybody, tried to use her school account to retroactively fail the kid who insulted her, but the cops told her (and later the college) in no uncertain terms that they will be reporting this to their boss, and that the police would be re-considering whether the program lived up to their expectations and deserved its certification. One of the cops directly called the principal, who was appalled at this. He showed up in person not 10 minutes later looking FURIOUS. From his dressing down, this was NOT her first, or even THIRD ethics violation. CoLoR mE sUrPrIsEd. He removed her access to her teachers online account after forcing her to give the student an A. She wasn't there next year. This was NOT the first time she pulled this crap in front of us. She did this kind of thing on the daily, targeting students she didn't like, but this WAS the first time it was done with a semester long project. One of the cops in the class was a high rank within the state police and promised the kid a job if he kept his grades up. Last I heard, he is a stellar cop.

I had an art teacher that assembled a group to make a school mural, and I was in the group. We had to think of designs for the mural and show it to her. She chose my design but said that she had to work with me on improving the design. She made me come into her classroom for lunch and work on it every day after school for a few weeks, and she could never decide on what she wanted. It was like "Move this tree to the left" "No wait move it to the right" "Actually delete the tree itself and add something else". Something new to say every day. I never complained because I loved art and wanted to excel in that subject. Well after weeks of hard work I came into her class as usual and couldn't find my design. I asked her about it and she said she threw it away and decided to use her own design instead. I was really pissed, but I still didn't confront her about it. I told my parents about it but they said that its not really her fault since art is a complicated subject and if the professional says that my design is unfit then she is probably right. Still salty about it to this day.

When I was in 7th grade, I had a cross country coach. He was tall, and was unpleasantly plump. He seems to be over 300 pounds, if not more. One day, in the beginning, we were gonna have our second race in 2 days. He told us we had to do 16 quarter mile laps(4 miles), with barely a break in between. We had to run half a mile in 3 minutes. keep in mind we were 7th graders, so it was very tough for all of us. “Come on, one more lap!” He kept telling us around 3 times. We even ended up doing 18 laps just because. One kid needed to even barf, but he just said “yeah just go do it in the trash can. And keep going.” This infuriated I because it seemed like he couldn’t even do half a lap. he just stood there like a lazy person and told us to keep running. I have nothing against being overweight, But I have a problem when a 300 pound guy tells us to keep going, even though he couldn’t do a fraction of what we were doing.

I never lost my temper with a teacher but I almost did once. Here's the story: So this year, my class had this things going on called "The [Insert Name] virus" The insert name thing is the name of one of my friends(We'll just call him Adam). Adam got really upset about this, one day he came running over to me and my friend(We'll call her Claire) sounding like he was crying. Apparently, people had been excluding him from games and running away from him to not catch the "Adam Virus"(Not the real name). Me and Claire decided we had to tell a supervisor to help with this. We went to a supervisor(We'll call her Ms. L) and told her. Ms. L's response was "Sorry but I can't make someone be your friend". Me and Claire were pissed. I honestly almost screamed at her saying that she should atleast help instead of just saying that she can't make people be Adam's friend. Edit: I forgot to say this, the Virus worked like the cheese touch.

I once had a teacher who singled me out because I was struggling to learn the way she was teaching. I frequently asked for help or clarification only to get her frustrated with me and me still not understanding the assignment. Let it be known, I have autism and ADHD, and had a 504. At first, things weren't so bad, she just didn't teach us directly which admittedly frustrated me since the tutorials she made us do were boring and none of the information stuck with me, hence me asking for help so often. Eventually I wouls go up to her at the beginning of ever class to get help and she would just sit there on her laptop doing whatever, and told me to just get on with it. Then, it got worse. My sophmore year I had finally been tested and learned about my ADHD and Autism, and my 504 was built. One day I'm so upset with not getting help that I come up to her in actual tears begging her to give me an alternate assignment to help me learn. This bitch pulls out her phone and begins RECORDING ME SOBBING. Said it was to "remember this in the future." She never put any of what I said into practice and began frequently sending me to ISS. Afterwards we had a parent teacher conference and she denied having the video, then was essentially forced into obeying my 504. This didn't last long, and a few weeks later she ignored it again. For this part, I should mention I had a Switch, and would take it with me to school as my way of connecting with people, as it was how I got people to approach me or find a common interest. I even had mini Smash Bros. tournaments at lunch every day. So, as my calming mechanism, I would also play a little bit of stuff between classes and after I sat down. One day, as I'm getting out my case to put the thing away, she takes it from me and says "I told you not to have this in class." I should mention she waited specifically until I got the case out to put it away, since it was in my backpack. At this point, I'm 100% *done* with her bullshit. I told her it wasn't fair, and I was putting it away. So, when she set it on her desk, I did the most tame thing I could have done while still being as angry as I was. I stood up, picked it back up, and put it in my bag. She sent me to ISS, and then later I got called to the very intimidating Vice Principal's office. Told me I was 1 D1 away from getting suspended, and asked me why that was. I broke internally. This whole time, this teacher was not only sending me to ISS, but also giving me demerits that I was not informed about. He then confirmed that teachers didn't have to tell me I was receieving them in the first place. I then had an extreme panic attack, and began struggling to breathe, rolling around on the floor, and crying. I was weeks away from turning 17. To make things even better, I was also told that because I didn't answer a question about my punishment during my panic attack, I would be recieving OSS the next day. This was Thursday, and on Friday was the celebratory last day of school before holiday break. Trust me, it gets better. He then called my parents, and told them this. Both of them arrived, and had to watch me still have a panic attack, them doing nothing to console me except remove the blunt pencil I was holding because it was a "sharp object" and they had to negotiate my punishment for me because I was at that moment, mute from anxiety. They took me home, and told me they were dissappointed in me. I lost it, told them everything, and then locked myself in the bathroom, a place they legally couldn't follow me. We communicated through texts afterwards, and I eventually came down. I still had to take the punishment from the school, and ended up meeting the other teacher of this subject, which was digital design/animation. He taught me more in 2 days then I learned in 2 years of the bitch teacher's class, and I remembered it. I also finished all my other stuff and wrote a damn short story. I was so proud of myself, until I realized everything I missed. The next semester started and I was free from the witch, which is why I now hate to end my story on a bad note, because that year was 2020, and things never got better.

I used to have a teacher called Ms. Weaver (this story happened in 1st grade) so I was running in the playground and having fun, when I was running I accidentally ran into the metal monkey bars. I hit my head on the monkey bars, it left a red mark, nothing serious but my head still hurt and thinking back on it I could have gotten badly hurt, luckily I wasn't. When that happened I knew that I should tell a teacher so I could get permission to go to the nurse. I saw Ms. Weaver and thought that I should tell her since it was her job at the time to supervise kids on the playground and make sure they don't get hurt, bullied, ect. When I asked if I could go to the nurse because I hit my head, she said no! I was upset obviously but I decided to go to someone else that worked there. I asked them, they said I could go which was the responsible thing to do. I went to the nurse, got an ice pack and was fine I just had a bruise on my head.

There was one time when I was sitting in my classroom with of course everyone in the class and it was religious studies. I never really hated that class until "That" happened. The topic of the way was about "Thinking about others". I was neutral with the subject as I have learned it on KZbin many times, but never in a religious way. The teacher showed the WHOLE class about a female teenage child who was getting bullied, had a deaf father and killed herself. I never thought of anything other than to feel bad. The teacher ticked me off by saying that "She died because she had an Ego", " Why didn't she care about her father, and why did she think only for herself" and "killing yourself is a sin". Now those words made me tear up and enrage me, I knew better than to let my emotions control me and I never said anything. I hated the fact that not only that she thinks the girl only thinks for herself, but she actually insulted someone who died by suicide. And on that day forward I was scared for the entire year of my life in her class. Gosh, sometimes I wish people could understand that not everybody who kills themselves only thinks about themselves. P.s : It was an Indian movie? Video? And people can't really see the subtitles. And I also have a feeling that the girl who killed themselves might think her dad would've had a better life without her... (Even though it's not real I still feel bad).

Two stories from me. A little backstory about me and context on the German education system: Firstly, my mom's a maths and physics teacher and I have grown up with great respect for teachers and education in general. I also gained knowledge of all the relevant laws and regulations. Secondly, I am what some would call a gifted kid. Got into school early, skipped a year, hardly ever had to study, all that stuff. Concerning the German education system: After four years of elementary school, secondary education in Germany is split into two tiers. Hauptschule or Sekundarschule, which is the lower tier aimed to prepare you for an apprenticeship and the Gymansium, the high tier, which is aimed to prepare you for university studies. I was in the high tier. First experience: Had a maths teacher in 10th grade. She also did daily short tests and collected them from "random" students. Among other annoyances, she only ever collected mine if I wasn't doing well. At some point we come around to trigonometry. My class wasn't the smartest of them, and so we ground to a halt at sine, cosine and tangent in the right triangle. Literally three simple fractions to remember, should be a matter of two days at most. As said before, I was somewhat quicker in my learning and few things were and still are as exhausting to me as being slowed down in my learning progress. So at some point I broke and exclaimed that this was not a Gymnasium (high tier) level of learning, but rather special needs level. She sent me to my tutor (every class in Germany has one "class teacher" whose job is to manage that class as a group in addition to the subject they are teaching) who was my physics teacher, who had specialised in kids like me and with whom I got on really well. Of course, I was horrified, I was always the exemplary student and the prospect of having screwed up so hard that disciplinary measures were considered was damning. We ended up having an insightful talk during which I broke out in tears over my frustration about this slow progress. Later, my mom was also summoned to her. And teacher to teacher, my physics teacher said: "Well, he's right." Second experience: At some point I spent a year in England, including going to school there. After I came back I had an English teacher of questionable competence. She couldn't pronounce the "th" or the different pronunciations of the letter "r"... anyway. At that point, my English was better than hers in vocabulary, fluency and pronunciation and every now and then I subtly let her know that. At some point we got one of those "mediation" tasks. You get a text and based on that you have to write a text of your own, for example a letter to the editor of that ficticious newspaper or something like that. Now, the books always gave some of that "helpful advice" like "underline this", "highlight that" before cutting to the chase and writing the damn text. I didn't need that. I had my own text finished before the last of my classmates had finished underlining and highlighting. And boy, she didn't like that. So after class she had me stay and discussed with me how I was ignoring her instructions and the like. I politely and quite formally explained to her that these "underline" and "highlight" notes were supportive advice which I did not need as my, by her admission flawless, text had extensively proven. She continued to go on about her authority, at which point I ever so politely and formally told her: "Mrs. ..., according to article [whatever it was] of the state schooling act, I have the right to support of my personal gifts and abilities, and if you are incapable of incorporating such support in your teaching or at the very least not impeding my progress, then I have reasonable cause to doubt your competence as a teacher." Later that day that teacher called my mom who fiercly defended me. She reminded that teacher that I never disturbed her class, had never insulted her, had never raised my voice against her, but had merely stated my reasonable position on my English proficiency and educational needs.

Bro, u sound kind of arrogant. Ur essentially saying that your smarter than all the teachers and the class is too slow for you. If it's too easy then just skip another grade. And about the highlight and underline, they're trying to teach the class how to take notes and fully comprehend the text, that's normal school stuff. It's annoying for everyone. Your teachers don't seem that bad, two of my teachers don't even bother teaching the class anything.
@whynotjustmyusername
@whynotjustmyusername 2 жыл бұрын
@@ludwigvanbeethoven7932 Unfortunately many people mistake what I say as arrogant, yet it is simply the truth. I am faster at some things than others, just like you are probably faster at running and stronger than me. In regards to teachers: As mentioned before, I grew up with great respect for teachers, since my mother was one. I hardly ever disturbed class and was infallibly polite to them, even when I disagreed. And even though I was indeed smarter than some of them, as I learned years later from their own admission, while I was a student I never had a shred of doubt about their knowledge of the subject. Well except for that English teacher, her English just sucked. In regards to skipping a class: It's not that easy. Firstly skipping a class is a huge formality with the state school authority etc. Secondly, while I am faster than others, I am not so fast that I could just squeeze a year's worth of highscool physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography etc. etc. into two to three weeks. I skipped classes in elementary school, when the pace was slow and the subjects trivial in difficulty. When I got into school I could already read and write fluently and the multiplication tables and written addition and substraction was a matter of two evenings with my mother. In fact, I did squeeze what was left to learn in the first year of elementary school into two to three weeks before skipping that year. Thirdly, the situation with my maths teacher I mentioned above wasn't so much a matter of the syllabus being too slow paced for me, my class was actually lagging behind. As detailed in the story, my physics teacher actually (secretly) agreed with me that this pace was beneath what could be expected of Gymnasium students. Concerning "teach the class how to take notes" - I didn't mind her teaching the rest of the class how to take notes in the slightest. If they need it, so be it. I didn't. I did "fully comprehend the text" as I was and thereby I had proven to her that I had completed the learning goal of that lesson. A good teacher would recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their students and teach and task them accordingly. She did not. Granted, a class of up to 30 students isn't the ideal environment for individualized teaching, but at the very least I can expect to be left alone once I prove my ability. It's not like I immediately turned around and talked or loudly listened to music mid class. I usually drew something or I brought a book to study, at that time it was an anatomy book. I kept to myself and quietly let everyone else to complete the task on their own time. Upon quickly skimming through my comment again, I noticed that I may have taken your comment way more personally and seriously than you may have intended, but it goes to show, just how much all that which I wrote in the following paragraph means to me and what a mark it left on me. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but in between the lines of your comment I read that attitude of "The nail that sticks out is hammered down." Being one such nail, let me tell you: You cannot even imagine the desparation that comes from wanting to learn and not being allowed to. A desparation that will eventually turn into indifference and drain all motivation. And what you did, waving people like me off as arrrogant or knowitalls, really doesn't help. Rejection because of exceptional ability is a hideous and ugly thing to do to a child. Eventually, that child might just turn into what they always were called: an arrogant narcissist. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. There is that one KZbinr, a psychiatrist, who did a video on why gifted kids are really special needs kids. He was pretty much on point. I highly recommend it.

@@whynotjustmyusername I understand your point, as someone who also skipped a grade, sometimes I wish that I could learn the stuff that I was actually interested in. Sorry, I just misinterpreted your comment. My apologies, if you were offended as that wasn't my intent. It's just that it kind of came across as bragging, along with the fact that I don't think my academic achievements are that big of a deal (but whenever the subject comes up people are usually very impressed and I actually don't know why and it stresses me out because as a shy introvert I don't like the attention). Also, I know it was just an example but honestly it's more likely you are faster and stronger than me.... I played computer games all day in the gym because the activities got boring and repetitive. And as for the note taking thing, you may not need to take them but unfortunately our education system is far from perfect and the most that they are willing to do with the more advanced students is add a few higher level classes. But hey, that's just our society. In the end, they're just training us to go work for the man. So "the nail that sticks out is hammered down" is correct because if they nurtured everyone's individual talents and creativity then more people would be able to give the people at the top a run for their money. P.S. sorry that this isn't very organized and some things might not be grammatically correct as this is just like a huge mess of all of my thoughts. Also if u think 30 students is bad, at one point I was in a class with 50+ students.

Oh, I have ABSOLUTELY lost my temper at *one teacher in particular.* Specifically, my high school choir teacher. In middle school, I sang soprano. While I can’t do that anymore, my vocal range is still pretty large, and I can easily sing alto. And yet, my choir teacher *forced me to sing tenor* for the sole reason that I was assigned male at birth. She then proceeded to give *absolutely no breathing room* for singing. Everyone had to sing the exact same, and if anyone sticks out they’re automatically a bad singer. Singing is supposed to be a means of creative expression, with the beauty of it coming from the fact that everyone sings differently, and she just ruined that. She made me realize how choir betrays the very concept of singing. The straw that broke the camel’s back? Well, it’s a long story, but she basically gaslighted me in front of the entire class. And the worst part is, I’m still in my sophomore year, which means I’m stuck with her for another two years! Oh, and she misgenders trans people on purpose.

1:04 OOOOH THAT REMINDS ME In 2021, I took art classes. And I went to one, sad bc my cat was either dying/had died at that time from old age. Either way, my beloved Russian blue passed just before that Easter. I started getting overwhelmed and started to cry. The teacher took my out into the hall and asked if I was ok. I said my cat was dying/had died. She said ‘Well of you keep crying you’ll be sick’ and her voice showed no remorse. I may not have snapped but I was _raging_ inside. Infact, I went outside to my father after that. Didn’t even finish my art class. I then never went back. I did get over but I do still miss her, she was such a sweet cat. Last year in about August i lost another cat due to high potassium levels, potassium caused by stress. We don’t know why he was so stressed, but we do reckon he got hit by a car. Got the news he wouldn’t survive the night. I was so shocked I showed no emotion for a few seconds till I started bawling. He was only 3 years old. I am still wondering what caused him the high potassium levels.

I'd wanted to take choir from kindergarten, but never could because my school either didn't have it, or I had "behavioral issues" (aka, not acting like a robot they'd programmed). I finally got to take it my senior year of high school, and the teacher was *blatant* about picking favorites. They were the only ones who got solos, whether they were even *in* choir or not (most of them could barely hold a note, if at all). I did audition for one, but she turned up the music to the point I couldn't sing over it, which I guess she did to justify to herself why she didn't choose me. She picked a completely tone-deaf kid from the classical guitar class to sing Hotel California, all 6 1/2 freaking minutes of it. I still can't hear that song without cringing. One of the songs for our winter concert was Once Upon A December from Anastasia, and she chose a girl you could not hear over the music and the rest of us, even with a microphone. No, she wasn't in choir, either. Probably her favorite student of all was one of those with much more ego than talent (the class was 50/50 on who hated that girl and who didn't). She spent every period sitting on one or another of the guys' laps, and tried to act like she was in charge during concert rehearsals, then spent the whole class pouting in the back of the room once because she missed a note. I'd also just called her out on her bullcrap, which had apparently never happened before. Yeah, that class was a burning hot mess.

When I was in 1st grade I had a coach who picked favorites based on how athleticly fit kids were, he never directly said he disliked people but the people he favored were always good at sports. I remember one time in class we were having a sit up competition, we would get a partner and stand on each other's feet as we did sit ups. When it was my turn to go there were a bunch of other kids in a line next to me on the ground, we all started and I was doing well (probably because it was bad posture) but my coach went walking down the line of people telling people that they were done, I think I'd know when I'm done on my own but finally he came to me and said I was done. When I got up I saw that what do you know, all the remaining kids were the athletic ones. This pisses me off especially because he said that another kid was "going like a machine" and I knew that I could've gone as long as he was. Not only did he not want to acknowledge that I did well but he didn't even want to give me the chance to be congratulated at all. There was another time when me and another friend were waking around and I had a basketball in my hands. I dont remember how but he got an athletic kid (well call him Mike) in an armlock, Mike was a bit of a dick so I threw the basketball at him, not at his face though, I wasn't a maniac. Well coach was there to see it all happen, and me and my friend got in trouble as we should. The thing is coach has seen Mike do shader things to me and my friend all the time and just ignores it. Tldr: 1st grade coach was an asshole and never let me win. Also, I wrote this at 1 am so if there are any errors I'm sorry.

I have a story about a pathetic excuse of a maths teacher. So I'm in 9th grade, and I had this teacher who used to be a medic in the military. She used that status as a military medic to the effect of "Oh, I was in the military so you *will* respect me." Anyway, I get to class and get a test back, on the top of the second or third page, she wrote 'LOOK!' without specifying where I was wrong. For more context, she constantly ignored me whenever I put my hand up to ask for help, and would berate me whenever I did get something wrong. Come the end of the third term, I get my report back with a 20 in maths. When I get into her class, in front of everyone, she starts berating me again saying things more or less exactly like: "You're a failure! You will amount to nothing, you're too bloody stupid to be in this school or my class," etc, carrying on to the point where I honestly believed what she was saying about me. I get into the car after school, and broke down to the point where I wound up punching the dashboard until my knuckled turned red and kicking the floor of the car. When I reported her, nothing was done because the headmaster is her brother in-law. I had her again for the 10th grade, but moved schools and dropped out the same year because of certain teachers who would hit me on the knuckles with a plank whenever they suspected I did something wrong. Nothing was done about them either.

In 6th Grade, I got bullied so bad that I thought about un-aliving myself multiple times, the counselor had multiple chats with me during those periods, and had the mindset of “oh just shake it off and take 15 minutes to collect yourself” But the comments the kid would make to me were very personal, and were often about my living conditions among other things. The audacity of that bitch was through the roof. At one point I had enough and snapped on her, telling her things like, “The comments this kid has made towards me have made it to where I’d rather un-alive myself than go to school again”. I ended up leaving, slamming the door to the counselors office behind me, and with the audacity of this bitch, she called my parents and the principal and told them exactly what happened. Funny thing was, my mother knew exactly what was going down at school, and agreed with what I had said. I moved schools once my 6th grade year was done and I don’t know what happened to the counselor.

My English Guided Learning teacher (still got her.) was my history and English teacher last year (I've been at my school for two years) and at the end of last year, she traumatized me by making me feel horrible and worthless, and sent me home early for a simple little misunderstanding. Today, she became my English AND English guided learning teacher. Literally IN THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS she literally made me shed tears and feel incredibly (and I mean INCREDIBLY) horrible and activated my memories of the trauma experience :) I've lost my temper, and ranted to my mother about everything. I want to tell my teacher how she makes me feel terrible, but she's actually a really nice and kind teacher who cares about me, although she makes me so stressed and is the PRINCIPAL. I'm really getting sick of all the stress SHE ALONE is causing me. It's only the beginning for the 2nd quarter of the school year. I have a feeling I am going to start wishing I died in my sleep.

Sweetheart if she's so nice then she'll understand if you pull her off to the side and explain things to her. And if that fails try to switch to another teacher for those subjects. If she still refuses to change, or you can't switch, then I'd gtfo and go to another school if at all possible. Teachers and staff can be inconsiderate assholes, but just remember, you don't have to deal with them forever. Stay strong friend, quitting is the quickest way for them to win.

I was getting bullied pretty badly in 7th grade. My English teacher, in whose class a lot of the worst stuff happened, was completely useless. Whenever I reported an issue, her responses were generally along the lines of "well, I don't have eyes in the back of my head" and "if I didn't see it, it didn't happen". After one particularly egregious incident, she gave me one of her stock responses and I snapped. I ended up telling her that I sincerely hoped she would get exposed to radiation and maybe she'd grow some (eyes in the back of the head). Not exactly a sick burn, but I was quiet and on the spectrum, so it was still pretty devastating coming from me.

My eighth grade science teacher had a rule that we could only be out of class once a week. I had literature teacher senior year of highschool. She was the only person who taught that class and it was required to graduate. I was in a magnet medical program at the school and so was everyone else in the class I was in, so while none of us were particularly good at literature, we were the top students in the school. Now, this teacher was wheelchair bound due to an amusement park accident, she was a woman, and she was an ethnic minority. This meant that on top of her tenure, she was the un-fire-able trifecta. At the start of the year me and the other boys in the class immediately noticed that she was showing favoritism to the girls as they would always get A's while none of the boys could get above a C. There were even girls who didn't turn in work and got A's. She then started grading girls she didn't like the same as the boys. This was until one girl who was bi did a presentation that she used as her way to come out to all her fellow classmates. The teacher immediately took her aside and said that no one is truly gay or bi and they just come out for the attention. When this got back to the class, we snapped. Every single person went to administration to complain. The teacher, now being under scrutiny from admin, couldn't fail anyone's papers without a good explanation. This meant as long as you turned in the work, you couldn't get less than a B. No one took her class seriously after that.

We had an Italian teacher who graded based on how much he liked you. Everyone knew it and even the kids who got good grades thought it was complete BS. So a bunch of students got together and made a petition to the administration to audit his grades and take corrective action to fire him for his incompetence (apparently he was a horrid teacher as well from friends' stories, I never had him). Hundreds and I mean hundreds of students signed the petition, if I remember at least 600 kids signed including myself and we had 1200 kids in the whole school. The school did absolutely nothing about it, just let the guy keep teaching despite the massive amounts of evidence that proved he was bad.

There was a teacher I lost my temper with multiple times because she was the most cowardly person I ever met in a class full of students she may have genuinely feared. There were three of us nerdy kids and ten bullies. They mocked us three, got super mad when I asked questions, and would regularly play on their phones. I would get mad and *I* would get lectured by the teacher for "you can't control how people act", WHILE in earshot of them reminiscing over something stupid I said. I got frustrated with her on a different day because I didn’t understand something, she rolled her eyes and walked away. On another day she made fun of me in a way I think she thought I would also find funny, imitating my voice, and I just got upset and that confused her. All of this not counting the time two of the bullies got into a shoving match and she was TERRIFIED of them. She tried to get in between them to her credit, but nothing else. The woman was a short stick figure and the guys she tried to stop were huge, one looked like a linebacker. So maybe that was more understandable. She didn’t do enough though. I don't care if they're bigger than you. If you don't understand you have moral authority as a teacher, and you fear children thirty years younger than you are, you do not deserve to be a teacher.

I lost it at an english professor in college once. This is a true story: I worked hard on my final paper for the semester making sure it was perfect. I knew my English professor was obsessed with the smallest details. When I handed him my final paper he just glanced at the cover page and said "I'm failing your paper. Your title is centered, but not perfectly." So I went to this professor's office after class and told him "My stepfather was a professor here and he said you're a complete joke. No other professor on plant earth would fail an entire paper over a slightly off centered title. I'm going to report you to the administration." Ultimately the dude regraded my paper and gave me a B+.

My current English teacher is nothing short of unreasonable. She constantly picks out kids to present their efforts and such to the class. While some may think this is not all that bad, trust me, it is. For example, me. Almost every day during discussions, she points out that I am a very detailed writer. She even goes as far as to label questions that need heavy elaboration after me. It's embarrassing and sets me up for failure when she puts me on the spot for question answers. She started doing that after I turned in an essay, and guess who took points off of it because the essay was too long? Though her praise for being thorough never seemed to end. Another thing, she publically humiliated this girl because she was catching up on work the teacher didn't give us enough time to do. My teacher berated her to the point of tears and the moment the waterworks started she pulled the girl into the hall for a good 20 minutes. The girl came back in tears and continued crying about it for DAYS. Oh yeah, and she publically humiliated me. She held back the class after the bell rang because I was putting stuff in my bag. ( I hadn't noticed the time, and had been behind on packing up) I was standing up while doing this, and she instructed me to sit down. I do and set my bag on my lap. She says to sit down and put my bag on the ground. At this point, all eyes are on me. I look around to see SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE doing the same thing. Let's just say I cussed her out after I left the class.

He wasn't a teacher but a student teacher, getting experience at my school so he could graduate to become a certified teacher. It was class of 13-14 year-olds with a reputation of being difficult. I can't explain what he was like so I'll give an example. There a boy, I'll call him Alex, he was a lovely kid but had some anger issues and learning difficulties that the student teacher, Mr H, was likely briefed about beforehand or would have picked up on in his few weeks helping in the class. We were working on a PowerPoint presentation on something-or-other and I was sitting near Alex. Mr H was doing rounds around the classroom, supposed to be answering questions if they came up. He walks behind Alex, bends uncomfortably close to the kid and says "That's spelled wrong. It's spelled like __" he was very blunt (to the point it was almost rude). Alex responded politely: "Yeah, this is just a first draft so I'll correct it later." And Mr H responds "You dare speak to me with that tone! I'll put you in detention!" Loud enough for the whole class to hear it. Alex tried responding politely but Mr H kept escalating until it turned into an argument. The teacher, who had left Mr H in charge of the class, had to come in and break up the argument. It continued like this, with Mr H seemingly enjoying flaunting his authority in front of a bunch of 13-14 year-olds, being a textbook narcissist, and feeling entitled to more respect than he gave to to everyone he worked with combined. Generally, not a great guy. The year group treated him with less respect than a mosquito and those of us who cared about school just ignored him. After finishing his time with us he dropped out of teaching and last I heard an old friend saw him working at a department store. Thank. Goodness.

Finally I can post this, my current high school writing teacher is the worst teacher I ever had. She's teaching hich school kids how to write at an elementary school level. (Side note, I'm in a christian writing class, and I see nothing wrong with that) But she's spending more time teaching the bible than she is teaching writing. She wants everybody in the class to write in "the light" and all of our projects need to evangelize. One of the teacher's assistants asked me at what point a character in a story I was writing for fun (about psychopathy) when the psychopath was going to "find Jesus and be saved." No reason for dictating my private writing projects. I used to enjoy writing, and now I despise it. Thanks, Mrs. Teacher (not her actual name)

Around 2021-2022 My second year in uni studying chemical engineering. I’m a student from abroad. We’ve had these 2 lecturers on the thermodynamics module. Both are incompetent but one of them is a nice lady & the other was a major dick bag. In “uk” unis the lecturers engage with the students & help them out. Specially during the weeks when we have to prepare for finals. The thermodynamics exam has two sections, A for the Nice lady. B for that asshole. Every lecturer is expected to post revision files on the website to help out the students. The nice lady did but it wasn’t very good. The shit stain didn’t. I failed my thermodynamics exam where not just me but everyone else were complaining about that guy’s section as it was nothing he gave us during classes. Surprisingly, even the nice lady confirming this telling us she had a hard time doing his problems. He doesn’t engage with us he just talks as if he was reading an article which made a lot of students leaving his class as it was deemed useless. Then we had a resit & we expected a revision file coming from him but again, nothing. I accepted my fate as I almost went to scuffle with the other teachers because its my future on the line. “Why do you work here? Why did you take this job? To earn money without actually working? Putting a question on the sit exam that u never taught us anything about? You don’t even engage in the class so what the hell are you doing with a job here?” He looks at me with a smug grin on his face and says “I don’t even see you in my class” I responded “No need for me to waste my time to be in a class with an incompetent guy who doesn’t do his job” The nice lady tried to defuse the situation by telling me I was wrong then I revealed that she was the one who confessed about his weird questioning methods & how nobody likes him. When the rest of the class 'well the majority who are in despair because of him' saw me verbally owning him they jumped along & started verbally attacking him. When the marks were out, I was surprised that I was the only one who’s retaking the entire thermodynamics module & the rest pass it. And found out that the dick bag made a deal for me failing the module in exchange for him to resign. Here I am, a chemical engineer. Graduated at June of this year. Mr Pedro Diaz, I graduated. Also, fuck you.

I remember being in 8th grade AP English, which meant I was taking my class with the high school English teacher. Let's call her Mrs. W. It was probably about half-way through the semester before I realized she was giving preferential grades to all girls in the class. Now I'm completely honest about my total disinterest in Jane Austen's horny fiction, Pride & Prejudice, but I was still the 3rd or 4th highest scoring male in class. All of whom were getting lower grades than the girls. The realization that I wouldn't get graded fairly for my work tanked my attention in class and to the material, there wasn't a point anymore. After we were finally done with P&P I was given an assignment asking me what my favorite part of the book was. I simply wrote "The end, because it was over." Mrs. W confronted me about this in the middle of class and asked me to take it back. I refused and offered to list all the things I didn't like about the book, which was all of it. That proved to be prophetic for the class itself as for the latter semester I dropped out into regular English, didn't regret a thing. I transferred schools the next year. The year before I also had a Spanish teacher who was so disorganized she chewed out a substitute for cleaning up her desk. "I know where everything is." No, she didn't. She lost the SAME assignment from me 4 times and claimed I never turned it in despite talking me about it with her each individual time. She was literally the one printing it off. My mother had seen me working on the same bloody piece of paper 4 times and supported my decision to take the zero. Doing it a 5th time would've gone the same way.

Took one look at the title of this video and was like "Ohhhhh yes!" As far as I know, I got along fairly well with my teachers, that is... Until college rolled around for the first time. I was a part of an occupational skills class for students with disabilities. I went in at first hoping for a decent relationship with the teacher. All was well until I started to explain some problems I was having in class. I was having problems with another student whom I was too nervous to tell that I wanted some space, and the teacher just tells me that "I don't think you're a very nice person." Like, excuse me..? And that was just the beginning. Every time I had a problem with something, the teacher would turn it into a lesson for the entire class. Luckily she never mentioned my name, but it was definitely obvious that she got this from me. Towards the end of a semester, we were told that a single student would take a seat in a chair at the front of class and we would take turns saying what we liked about them. So, I always had issues speaking up in front of everyone and I took my chances to tell the teacher, hoping she would understand, but nope. Instead, pushed and pushed me to say something but to no luck. I was VERY uncomfortable, but thankfully pretty much every other student was understanding. The icing on the cake - I instead offered to write what I had to say and give it to the student, but of course, the teacher had to embarrass me again... She purposely had me be the very last student to take the seat, AND said that everyone had to write THEIR thoughts about ME. I don't remember my exact reaction, but I was SO mad. She knew that I had problems with speaking up. She ALSO knew that we are all special needs kids, so what is with treating us, let alone me, like this? College, I can understand, but come on... I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to treat a special needs kid like that.. I lost it on her maybe 3+ times, and had to go on a prescription for my mental health to make it through the year. No one at my table liked her to say the least.

A story about being bullied for a mental disability. So in 5th grade, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety. I am a therian (I identify as a non-human animal based on reincarnation and a past life) and often wear a tail to stop phantom shifts, and I also have a frog stuffy that the counselor gave me to bury my face in if I got anxious. So anyways, a few girls came up to me in the middle of an anxiety attack and called me a furry. MULTIPLE TIMES. So I moved away and buried my face in my stuffy and curled up with my tail wrapped over my ears. They moved it without my permission and started yelling in my ear. And to mention this, they were all siblings, and their mom was a teacher. They were screaming at me, "Furry," and "Z00ph1l3," so I stood up and turned to face them. I was crying at this point because of my anxiety and I just...lost it. Screaming. Pacing in circles. Yelling. I don't like mentioning it but since we were talking about bullying I might as well have.

My senior year of high school, I had one teacher who told inconsiderate "jokes" about Chinese people. I'm Chinese and so was one of my friends who I shared that class with. At first we didn't mind. We both had a dark sense of humor, his comments felt pretty tame, and he seemed like a cool person, so we still liked him. Until he said the C-slur in another class and we found out. Every day since then, I paid less and less attention in that class. I started texting my friend every day during class, wishing for inconvenient things to happen to him. It became a daily routine. Then I pulled another friend into our little manifest sessions. And another. And then one of my other teachers. And then my therapist. Our manifests included but were not limited to: I hope he stubs his toe; I hope he puts his shirt in the washer and it shrinks by half a size; I hope the size his belt needs to be is between the holes; I hope he buys a fresh bag of bread but it smells weird as soon as he opens it; I hope he drops a single potato chip on the floor; I hope his Chinese friend invites him to dinner, but he has to ask for a fork because he can't use chopsticks. One time I said I hoped he didn't come to class the next day, and as soon as I sent that text he announced that class was going to be canceled. I'm still good friends with the other teacher I manifested with. I'd like to think that the mildly racist teacher changed for the better. This story is a bit more subtle and petty than the others, but I hope it's a worthwhile read.

I once had a teacher, miss -. She was probably the most hated teacher in the whole school. It was in the middle of a usual math class in like, grade 4 and my friend put her hand up to go to the toilet. Miss - exploded and started explaining how she should have gone during recess even though recess was two hours ago. I pointed this out to her and she told me to shut up and then, suddenly my friend started crying. She said stuff like ‘its ok’ and ‘i wont go’ but she was really trying to hold it in. We continued class for a while then my friend asked again if she could go. Miss - lost it. My friend cried even harder and ended up peeing herself. After that: the event got reported along with other examples of Miss - being absolutely psycho and the junior head interviewed some students about it. Rumour says she got sacked.

Just once, I'd like to see one of these on horror stories from teachers. I'm a teacher (ESOL, mostly in Asia but a little in California, too) and I've had some nightmare students. As most of the audience base for this sort of thing are in school still, I doubt this would be as popular.

I had a teacher in my last year that just could not explain equations to kids and would only give the answer no matter how bad they struggled I experienced this first hand with multiple things he only taught us them one time in one lesson and they were all ways on tests making me lose most of my potential marks because of how they simply had the inability to teach before and after having him I usually was top 10 in marks of the year group with him I was usually on the bottom ten list really. I also had a really sexist geography teacher just completely despised the boys no matter how nice or smart a group of girls could be yelling across the class chewing gum or on their phone and she would calmly tell to quite down and would just give up after that while the boys would get stuff thrown at their back by the girls with the teacher watching and when the boys turned around they would automatically get a reset (six hour detention through and after school) or even if they dropped a pen they would get yelled at and given reset this teacher came right after one of the nicest teachers I ever had just disappeared the new geography teacher is currently vice principle

Background: I went to a school for neurodivergent kids(adhd, autism, etc.) I had this teacher who very clearly didn’t know how to accommodate the kids she was teaching. For the sake of the story I’ll call her ms T. She openly picked favorites and hated me because I corrected her a couple times (for the record I was right). She physically blocked me from leaving the class room after class despite the fact that I was visually upset and on the verge of a break down and proceeded to push me and close the door. No one believed me and they ended up calling my parents to have a meeting where she denied everything. Later that year, I had a meltdown early in the day, crying, shaking, harmful stimming, and nonverbal and when they finally got me to calm down and go to class which happened to be her class, she kicked me out and sent me to the office for “bad energy” and I don’t think I’ve ever been that upset about anything. After that she made my school experience living hell until I got pulled from her class to work independently and eventually moved away. To this day I’ve never hated a teacher more than I hated her.

part of my project grade was motivation, she graded on how motivated I was. Oh yeah, guy takes off work, pulls all nighters, and does his project in a format she hasn't taught, clearly his motivation is 3/10. She was also sexist, watched her grade a girl whose project I could recreate in an hour or 2 get the same grade as a guy whose project was something I'd need at least 2 weeks. She was the only college teacher who I had a problem with as all my other teachers watched me complete all my projects way before anyone else was finished. She was much harder than the teacher who says all your projects must be perfectly aligned, and even has a template to see if you're even slightly off. At least we get to review our teachers anonymously with notes given at the end of the semester, which I didn't care what I wrote as I was done with my degree at that level.

It was summer camp, we were all enjoying, I along with 3 other kids, got to go into the big kids room. (I was young at the time). We were doing this fun thing for art or something, there’s this kid called..we’ll call him Tim. Tim was the dramatic know-it-all kid, I was a history/geography nerd at the time, and I wanted to show that Tim wasn’t the smart kid everyone thought he was, so I went to him and said "Australia is not a continent.". He then says that it is, I say "Australia is a COUNTRY located in the continent of Oceania.". He then starts to argue with me, so when we’re getting up to move, he yells, "AUSTRALIA IS A CONTINENT!" (Since he is dramatic). So the teacher, we’ll call him Mr.J, steps in. He says "What’s happening?" I tell him, and then Mr.J says that Australia is a continent. I say a country can not be a continent at the same time, he then says "What about ANTARCTICA? HUH?" at this point his voice is raised. I try to say that Antarctica is not a country. (Which it isn’t) but I wasn’t a sentence in when he interrupted me saying, "IM A TEACHER [my name]! IM A ADULT, DONT ARGUE WITH ME." that’s when I broke. I didn’t say this out loud, but I wanted to say to Mr.J and Tim this: "IM CORRECT AND YIUR EGOS ARE JUST SO F**KING BIG THAT YOU’RE SCARED TO LOSE A ARGUMENT, ALSO, MR.J DONT USE YOUR F**KING JOB AND AGE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE, THATS PRACTICALLY ABUSE OF POWER, I KNOW MORE THAN BEETLEJUICE (the dumb one) AND HES A ADULT!" that was my last year going there for after school. Not that I got in trouble or anything, cause I didn’t say those things, but it was expensive. And my mom worked from home, so they were laying like 200$ a month for nothing. I never looked at that teacher the same again.

I had a ela teacher that got mad when you did not do the correct format that we had been using all year even though there are other formats and one time we had a sub that saw nothing wrong with how we were formatting it and allowed us next day she came back we handed in our papers and we had not done the correct format we had to redo everything and because it was considered late she only gave half and it was a paper out of 10 so the highest a person could get was a D but on the bottom of my paper I put it is a bad look to give all your students a F or a D she then responded with "WELL IT'S NOT ACCPTABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR TEACHERS SITUATION" (she had a rare medical thing going on) she then proceeded to rip the paper and throw it away well I redid it again and turned it in with advice on how to do some teaching next year and she said "ARE YOU TELLING ME HOW TO DO MY JOB" in my mind I was thinking why yes I am, I know I'm being rude but I am just trying to help and In all she ripped it up again I went back home I typed it back up and got 5/10 which would have been full credit. ( I also remember in 1st grade I threw a pencil at a teacher and they made such a big deal out of it I was suspended for a day, and as they were gathering up all my stuff they decided to rummage through my notebook and they found on the last page they found words saying I hate teachers over and over cause I was being an edgy kid in 1st grade and thought that was cool which was another reason why they game me a 1 day suspension )

I’ve only gotten into fights with teachers twice in my life. I’m pretty laid back and don’t like confrontation, so it takes a lot for me to really get mad at people. 1) My 4th grade science teacher. We’ll call her Mrs. Johnson. She gave us a project to do (It was a big project that required a lot of research and work). I finished 1/3 of the project, but couldn’t finish it because I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia for a week. When I came back to school, it was the day the we would present our projects. I explained my situation and apologized, and this woman looked me in the eye, scowled, and said’ “Well, you should’ve finished it while you were in the hospital.” She laughed and said if I finished the entire project within the 50 minutes left of class, she’d give me half credit instead of a zero. So I, a recently hospitalized and still recovering child sat hunched over a piece of cardboard, trying desperately to throw together a somewhat decent project while the rest of the class either sat and watched in pity or laughed at my obvious distress until I finished with one minute to spare and promptly ran out of the room and to the bathroom where I then had a massive panic attack. If you want to hear the second story, I’ll tell it, but it’s even worse than the first.

I have a math teacher (I'm in a modified math class and have been in her class for two years) named Mrs. DeShazior. She's an elderly woman but everyone who has had her or has her do not like her whatsoever. She wasn't as bad to me last year, but this year she up the ante by basically belittling me every other week. I have ADD and according to her I "can't talk and do my work as the same time" but I've progressed my multi-tasking skill. I can't chime into a conversation with friends without her yelling at me to stop talking and do my work. This has been going on continuously for months. Then when she wants me to talk and I don't speak she says "It's time to talk miss [my name] since you -love- to talk." It's gotten to the point that I'm self concious about it and holding my tears back in the middle of class. I can't vent to my mother about it without her instantly taking the teacher's side and not letting me fully vent.

For me, it was with my art teacher in 7th grade. He is the most arrogant person I have ever met (exept one person called Viktor Ninov from Bulgaria). He always thinks his subject is the most important subject ever. So because of that he made me correct my work *8 TIMES* and it wasn't anything that important, it was just some train tracks. And so on the 8th time when he checked it he said something like: "There's something wrong here..." and so I literally just marched out of the classroom. He tried to stop me by sayling: "Where are you going, come back here!" however, it was too late. I went to the bathroom and spend about 15 - 20 minutes in there just trying to calm myself down. This was the 1st time anyone ever left the classroom without the permission of the teacher and also the 1st time when I almost slapped him. When I came back I was so discusted by him I didn't look or talk to him at all, the good thing though is that he didn't talk to me either until the end of the class. When class ended I asked him if I have to improve anything else, he said I don't and I will get an A. Though he probobly said that just so I don't make an incident. And when my class teacher asked why did I do that I said it was because it's way better to "explode" there than in the middle of the class. Mihajlo Bogdanović

So I had a ISC teacher that was one of those “annoyingly nice” people. I hated her, and she was annoying. Long story short, I had a ISC teacher in the summer and near the end, she quit her job because she got a new one for a regional sales manager. Well, the teacher I just mentioned came up to try to take the job, and she was annoying and I hated her. I was yearning for the day she’d get replaced for an actual good one. Sure enough, I got announced that she landed the job and she’d be my teacher for the whole year. I was *PISSED*. Anyway, during math class she kept pushing me to sign my agenda (because I have to review that with my parents so I wouldn’t lie and say that I wouldn’t have any homework, then to find out a couple days later that I’d have a D on my assignment.), and I was also stuck on a math problem for the paper assignment. And between those two and the constant chatter in the room, I was getting stressed. So, I guess all of it just bursted out and I yelled out “WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP?!” Whole class went silent. She then gave me one of those BS lectures about how that wasn’t nice to say. So, I was forced to apologize. Luckily, that never came to my parents and it went on for the rest of the year.

This is a good one. In 8th grade i got a concussion from a football game. I got hit so hard and it was so bad i was knocked out on the field for a few seconds. I skipped school the next 2 days and attempted to go to school on day 3 of getting hit. (I hate going to the doctor so i never did during this time) and the pain was so excruciating from the loud noises and bright lights. I put my head down and its obvious i am in so much pain im practically shaking from pain. The teacher YELLS at me causing even more pain and he screemed at me to go to the office. After about 10 minutes of me trying to get there by crawling someone found me and was like O.o wtf. Long story short my step dad came and picked me up and took me to the ER. After telling everyone what happened i was rushed downstairs to get a MRI of my brain and turns out my brain was swelled up so much doctors were scared it would crush up against my skull and i would have a seizure. Got a whole month off school after that. But then i was in orlando visiting my father who lived there at the time and i was flying back home. Guess who i ran into. That same teacher (he was just a sub so he was only there a few months. So when i got back to school he wasn't there anymore.) I told him what happened and how horrible he treated me that day. I made him feel super bad about it. He didn't actually believe i got a concussion so bad he thought i was just sleeping in class. Hopefully he listens to students more. Looking back though if he didn't kick me out of class i would of went on with the day, which could of possibly ended my life. 🤷 As kind of a side note, i can take pain SUPER well. I dislocated my shoulder in a different football game the same year and continued to play the game, go to the er after, get it corrected, and play again 3 days later. I also broke my foot and walked myself into the er in 9th grade. So me shaking in pain is a sign that something is seriously worng

My art teacher on 2nd grade was a big a-hole. He would come into the class, put up a "House Sketch" on the projector (that would happen on every single lesson) and he would just sit back in his chair and tell us to draw it. He would then open his phone and check Facebook (because of course) and completely not care about us. On every lesson with him, kids would be jumping and running around PLAYING TAG in the classroom, jump on desks and dance, scream extremely loudly and he would continue not caring about us. At some point a kid who bullied me at that point of time (we are friends now) took a little fox plushie that I had with me (it was 2nd grade; our desks would be full of Ty beanie boos). I told the teacher and he told me that he didn't care. I screamed to the kid to give it back and the other everyone just continued talking. I've had enough. I grabbed a chair, and slammed it as hard as I could on the floor. Everyone shut the f up. The teacher looked at me in "awe" and didn't say anything. The day after that, he was fired and kicked out of the school. We didn't have art classes for that year because they couldn't find another teacher. I remember watching the principal scream at him and lock the door of the building while I and the whole class were on brake. We were watching him get kicked out of the school and laughing. That was one of the best days from school. I hope no class had to have him as a teacher again. He just wanted to get paid. He didn't care the least bit about the students. The fact that a kid broke a desk, should tell you how little he cared about us, since he didn't even turn to see who broke it.

Theres this teacher of mine that is new this year and has a certain set of rules, like we have to be in class before the bell even if we have an excuse or even a late pass. So one day I really had to go to the bathroom and I couldn't wait until after his 10 minute long "Before we start class" rant, so I went to go sign myself out and he stops me and just stares at me so I stare back. He then says "Could you wait until I'm done talking" I gave him the most dirty look and just responded with "No" and he look dumbfounded. "Next time can you go after lunch (My period before his class)?" he asked (Very condesendingly). This is what I told him: "Listen, I can't listen to your 10 minute rant on what we literally learned yesterday, I get all 90s in this class I think I can afford to miss out on a recap of The French Revolution. My body runs on a schedule and right now I need to go to the bathroom. And I would go after lunch if you gave us enough time to get to class. You can report me to the Principal, but this has happened many times with me and other teachers and I've always been right" He just nods and lets me use the bathroom The next day he gives us a rant on how we need to be nice to teachers and to not let our emotions get the best of us (But the way he meant it is to shut the bad emotions off) and he stared at me the whole time. I have never wanted to punch him so badly.

Had a 6th grade math teacher that was named ms. B or something. She was a teacher that if she was done writing on the big white board, she would erase it instantly. We got halfway through the year and I struggled with the work. She came over to my table and berated me for not getting the work done and it was an exit slip (if I didn't finish it I couldn't leave the class until it was done). I soon after had a mental breakdown she came over again as my face was covered in tears. "Okay sweetie I know this is a lot of work but you need to get this done." She than got up and left me crying for the rest of the class.

I have a story. I’m autistic so sometimes it takes me longer to process things. In fifth grade I wet my pants so I want to get changed in the bathroom. I couldn’t touch the bag because it was dirty. (At that point I was just developing germaphobic.) eventually I sucked it up and took the bag outside of the bathroom. My EA (basically a second teacher for everyone who doesn’t know who helps with kids with disabilities or who need extra help) left to get someone else ready for my bus which I was late for. She came back and screamed at me because I made everybody late. I was already crying because if she didn’t tell me where she was going and I was crying because I was being screamed at directly in the face. My mom brought it up to my fifth grade teacher and she took my EAs side. She said I exaggerated or made the whole thing up. No I do not make the whole dinner she yelled at me and it continued to get worse. I could literally be here all day with the stuff she did. And they’re refusing to replace her. Eventually I just stop talking to her. We are on OK terms now but one little comment will set me off because of what she did in the past.

Not a teacher but we had these managers where I used to work (they were husband and wife and they both had the same authority, though not to fire people thankfully). They were always calling in sick and causing the people who were supposed to have the day off to come in to fill in (there were only six workers and my significant other and I were the unofficial assistant managers so...) and told us we could have another day off during the week which never materialized. One night my significant other got really sick with a fever so high I don't know why they didn't keep him over night at the hospital (probably because we didn't have insurance) and we spent several hours in the ER until they managed to get his fever down. We asked the doctor for a note excusing him from work the next day, even though we knew it wouldn't make a difference. Sure enough, I arrived at work the next day with the note (the managers having actually shown up for once) and he took one look at me and said "He's not coming in to work today, is he?" I said "No, I have a note right here" and held it up but he shook his head and said "It doesn't matter what that note says, you don't work here anymore." Even though I knew it would be something like this, I left in tears and went back to where I was staying and talked to the person who was in charge of where I worked and could fire people and told him what happened. He said "Just let the manager work by himself for today and see how he likes it." The guy I talked to was awesome and I wish that he could see some of the things that went on at that place (60-70 hr work weeks ((Mon-Sat 8:30 am-6:30 pm)), no lunch breaks or other breaks, if we tried to eat lunch the managers were yelling at us to get back out in the store while they ate at the front desk, all for a stipend of $20 every two weeks). Why didn't we leave sooner? We felt we would lose our place to sleep if we didn't work there and honestly no one else was either willing or competent (meaning not a thief or a layabout) enough to work there.

I make a joke in class. Several students were chewing on their pens in class, and the teacher tired of it asked us "please remove anything from your mouth that doesn't belong" me, fresh with braces, said "COOL, got some pliers??" The whole class laughed. She assigned me a two paragraph essay on why I shouldn't have said that and why it wasn't funny. I told her I wouldn't do it and she told me if I didn't she'd give me a detention for non-compliance. Fast forward 3 weeks later mom accompanies to school to dig through my locker for a missing assignment (yes I was a very lackadaisical and disorganized student) she comes across the detention slip. Mom asks me about it, I explain what happened. She BURSTS OUT LAUGHING about the joke, and proceeds to ask " What, does she have no sense of humor??" As said teacher was in earshot. Mom signed the slip, I took it to the teacher who leaned down in my face and told me "your mother may think your funny, but I DON'T" Woman lost control of her class, blamed and punished me for it, and when an outside observer called her on it (albeit a tad biased) she got pissy over it...sorry, but no. You were a shit teacher, and glad you've moved onto other things with your life. Because if one parent telling you you're lame hurts your feelings, then an entire class thinking that wouldn't have done you much better
