Hi! I just wanted to add that the girl in the crowd never said PP gave out diaper/formula, but rather resources for them. PP push WIC really hard, and WIC supplies free formula coupons every month and you even get to choose what kind! They can also connect to local diaper banks, but I agree that resources for diapers don't really exist. I also visited the website the pro-life woman suggested, and it only linked me to adoption & foster resources and some Bible studies. Nothing for actual diapers or formula. So... Most people tend to believe that it's when there is a heartbeat. That's the second trimester. Very strict conservatives believe it's at the point of conception so they want to move the goalpost that way. Most liberals/leftists believe it's when the baby is actually delivered. Some, even after that, so they try to move the goalpost that way. Any way you slice it, it comes down to when is it considered a human being and most people agree it's in the middle somewhere, regardless of what you call it.

My grandchild was born at 18 weeks, very premature. She wasnt even 1 pound and could fit in the palm her fathers hand. My sister-in-law is pregnant with her fourth child. A few months ago, we were around her on the couch listening to the miracle of the baby's heartbeat. A few weeks later, we were looking at the ultrasound pictures. A baby in the womb is just as much a person as anyone else and has as much value. You could have a clump of human muscle cells and you won't have a complete human or heart cells detached from the DNA isn't a compete human. She leaves religion out of the creation debate because she doesn't quote the Bible saying life is fearfully and wonderfully made or that humans are created by God. When I was 21 I got pregnant with my son, I never knew much about abortion but even then I didn’t think twice about not wanting my baby. As soon as my pregnancy was confirmed at the doctors office I already knew it was going to be a boy and I was only two weeks at the time. My life was in shambles at the time, but I knew that this was a special life that I created with my own “mistakes” I say mistakes lightly because my son ultimately saved my life. I was preparing my whole pregnancy to foster him because of my living situations and by the grace of god I got an apartment just weeks before I gave birth to him and I got to keep my baby. I actually agree with the statement but not in the way that you think. I use to work with roaches at my university and let me tell you, they are one of the most misunderstood animals I’ve ever met. Hi, I have a question. I am a childhood survivor of rape that resulted in 2 pregnancies between the ages of 15 and 16, one miscarriage (forced via beating) and one vaginal birth at 17. I later became pregnant again way later as an adult at 24 (by choice) and was pregnant while homeless so I went through many struggles to find resources; I just wanted to add that she called planned parenthood asking if THEY gave away diapers or formula which they don't but they do push local WIC locations (WIC gives you coupons for free formula every month for baby and free baby food) and WIC connects mothers to local diaper banks. I thought it was a little misleading because the woman in the crowd kept saying they can connect you TO resources, not directly give out the formula/diapers.

The woman in the crowd is saying that Planned Parenthood provides mothers with support and resources after birth, and Kristan proved that they, in fact do not. Kristan's argument is that there are other agencies that have resources on site to help mothers immediately. The woman in the crowd didn't have a reply, so she said, "Do you have them with you right now?" Of course Kristan d did not have diapers and formula with her, so it was easy for the woman to feel like she won the argument when all she really did is show that Kristan does not provide diapers at a Pro-Life debate. True--WIC is a federally funded program that does help women get resources and groceries, but that is not from Planned Parenthood, it's from the government. Also, WIC does not apply for all. Edit: Planned Parenthood receives an enormous amount of funding, so I think Kristan's point was that they could be doing more for young mothers who do choose to keep their babies. My question for you is, what was the process of applying for WIC like? Was it easy/hard? Did Planned Parenthood offer you assistance beyond providing you with the WIC locations? Also, going through what you have is tremendous trauma, which I am heartfully sorry you had to endure. Did Planned Parenthood connect you with a counselor or therapist to help you navigate through those times?

I guess because it didn't align with their thinking, but I am truly interested in discussion and happy you responded! So, to answer your question WIC is pushed heavily and it's very easy to be accepted into, unlike SNAP/food stamps. Wic also has a less restrictive cut off for income, and they provide nutritional support, breastfeeding support, and parenting classes which is great! They typically give you coupons for free juice, milk, veggies of your choice, cereal, cheese, rice, etc and TONS of baby food and formula! It was a life saver. I also had an abortion as an adult at Planned Parenthood and yes, they connected me with counseling and after-care and also helped me get a long term birth control implant. They pass out resource sheets if you ask that cover a wide range of topics, they also help with STD testing, education, and prevention. So the main point I was trying to communicate was I went onto the website referenced in the original video, standing with you dot org, put in my zip code, but the only resources listed were: 1. a ten week Bible study for coping with abortion, & not licensed mental health professionals, it is held at church / by the church. & 2. Several resources for adoption centers and foster care. My question was, how does this website she referenced actually help women financially who choose to keep their baby? Truly curious. Thank you! :) maybe my area just doesn't have any good resources, I checked 3 different local zip codes from my location ~ 200 miles away and nothing.. just adoption centers and resources for women who already HAD abortions. Does your area have anything useful according to this website she named?

So right off the bat you are mistaken on multiple things. "Abortion hurts women." In some ways yes it does. Does forcing women to give birth against their will hurt women? Because at least with abortion women have the right to choose it. "No women's son or daughter should be". But should women be forced to give birth against their will?
