Shes not from Seattle. She went to college at the University of Washington. She grew up in Richland, WA. Completely different atmosphere if your from Washington as i am.

@jasper2008ify Not all of Washington is that way! I'm from Washington state and i grew up in Brewster, Washington and let me tell you that it rains a lot on the Puget sound area, and Tacoma is really close to the puget sound area. But overall Washington's wilderness is beautiful

Now can anyone please tell me where on earth Americans get these gorgeous athletes from ? Just been watching USA-Brazil here in Germany on TV, more out of boredom -and then this spunky goalie I had never seen or even heard of before.Our team got kicked out last night by the Japanese, but as long as "Hope she's Solo" is making it to the finals this tournament is a winner for me.

Hope probably doesn't mind correcting people when they mistake where she's from so she goes along with them, she's a sweetheart. I know that if I were her I would've said "I'm from Richland, not Seattle."

@statsme88 I agree with you that if you're not actually from the city from Seattle, then you're not from Seattle and you should say where you're from. I have lived in actual Seattle for most of my life, it's where I was raised and I love it. However because so many people see these videos, unless you are from WA, no one will know what you're talking about if you say you're from Richland, because it is such a small town and the closest big city that people would know is Seattle.

@jennytalea goalies last way longer than any other position (cause it has the least physical contact & movement) so she'll play at least until 38 so she ain't going nowhere! after that she may even have one more at 42. Hope herself said she won't even be in her prime until mid 30's ;)
