Jenea Graham it's because Walt Disney bought his parents a new house after the success of one of his sketches or something like that. But his mom died of carbon monoxide poisoning. So he felt quilts about it

The house story is just a myth. Disney remakes old fairytales, where the parents were already dead. He had already made a lot of movies with dead parents when his mom died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
