Btw, it’s such a good point to not be too precious about your art supplies sometimes, it clearly unleashes infinite fun and creativity as demonstrated here by you beautifully! I have a bunch of supplies which I want to use up, too, but that is more because I'm not that fond of them - they are cheap brands that I bought when I didn't really know any better. I don't feel like I can justify using/buying better supplies until I've used them up! In one way, it helps me practice so I don't mind so much if what I create doesn't come out as good as I wanted it to even though I have to resign myself to the fact that sometimes that is due to the quality of the materials and the paper as much as it is down to my need to practice. Finding channels like yours has helped me learn the process of creating art so that I hope they will come out better than my earlier art.

I'm so glad you are learning here!! I actually always have a "cheap" sketchbook and a "fancy" sketchbook, and I use cheap materials in my cheap sketchbook and it's SO low pressure!!

Amazing!!! You get better and better, especially with details and proportions, with each piece you make! You math like I do btw. I always double both sides of the sketchbook when I do a big spread, forgetting that the height doesn't change lol! Plz never ever stop painting and sharing with us all, we LOVE it!!

Part of the reason I like vinyl paint is colored pencil goes over it so well and I think better than acrylic. I do a lot of coloring in books and when painting acrylic for large areas was difficult to go in and add color pencil on top to tone or add details. I switched to vinyl and I am now having more success. This is important in big metamorphic books like Kerby Rosanes because they are huge and I need paint and pastel as underlayers so I can finish these books because I die LOL.

Your pictures are amazing! I enjoy all sorts of art like coloring book art and from scratch art. I do both. I mainly color preprinted coloring pages and I have branched out to drawing and coloring my own art. I need to practice drawing more, and because I’m impatient and want to color so then I reach for a coloring page. When I receive a new supply I feel as if I have to learn how to use it, but when I use a supply I already own I don’t have that learning curve, so I can go straight to using the supply. Thanks!

Same as you for my fav racoon....all your paintings are creative fun. I'm thinking you should do more Old Masters with a twist, i.e. Owl Mona Lisa; Bunny with a Pearl Earring; Leatherback Sea Turtle Starry Night.... :) BTW Google American Pronunciation is my go to for how to say it
