I'm fortunate to have worked with Lee on several Budweiser/Anheuser-Busch and other advertising tracks and asked for his help on many sessions since he was introduced to me by the fine folks at Admusic. As someone else noted, Sklar's bass was not placed affirmatively in the production mix.....consequently, you tend to hear muffled walking bass lines and that's about it. I never have heard a concert where his bass lines are out front in the mix and I wonder if there is a reason for that.
