Elden Ring, one of the easiest games to ever exist... Only a maniac would say this. Honestly this freaking game gives me chills and PTSD but okay, today I'm gonna be reacting to it's crazy soundtrack, these boss battle themes are more than outstanding, I was missing a big one not reacting to this.

Thanks guys for letting me know I was actually listening to Malenia's theme (or Margit's Beta Test Theme 🤧). I corrected the thumbnail and timestamp to compensate the mistake, hopefully in an upcoming video I can listen to the actual Margit theme! 😅

Hello, it was the Margit beta because the official malenia theme is more dulled for in the vocals. Like they aren't as powerful than the version you listened to.

An absolute must for a part 2 is Mohg, Lord of Blood, arguably the game's most standout track, and one I think you'd really enjoy analyzing.

The best part about Godrick’s theme (and others) is that Elden Ring was its (referring to Godrick’s theme) composer’s (Shoi Miyazawa) debut game. Miyazawa also did Beast Clergyman and Mohg among others in this game.

Godskin Noble/Apostle is my absolute favourite theme from Elden Ring. Just hearing it again takes me back to the first encounter I had with them, severely under leveled, lost in the depths of a tower in the middle Caelid and stubbornly pushing through death after death until I finally took him down.

If you didn't remember hearing that theme when totally not fighting Margit wink wink, it's cause that was actually the theme for a different boss, being Malenia, Blade of Miquella. After dying to her dozens and dozens of times, one learns to recognize that theme immediately lol

You should take a look at the bosses appearances (or maybe watch their intro), also, the parts when the music stops and comes back more intense, it's when the phase 2 of the boss starts.

I just found your channel and I'm so happy that you're listening to this soundtrack. I recommend listening to the rest of the soundtrack as well, there are so many incredible songs. Godskin apostles is definitely my favourite from these, but from overall soundtrack, it's either Lichdragon Fortisax or Regal ancestor spirit.

The thing about Elden Ring is that you don't really get to listen to the soundtrack while you're fighting the major bosses, as you're focused on the game itself. Makes for an experience listening to it like this. Get used to several themes having 2 phases, as the major bosses in the game have 2 phases on their fight, escalating the difficulty of the respective fight. Renalla's theme sounding like that as appropriate, as the poor woman had essentially gone insane due to heartbreak, and while you have to fight her, she's a very sympathetic character if you look for the Lore, and she's like the only Boss in the Soulsborne series of games that you don't actually kill once you beat her. The Godskins are some of the most sinister enemies in the game, as per the name, they hunt down, kill, and then skin Gods to make their garments, and their theme really captures that theme of heresy. Rykard is one of the most vile characters in the game, and one that gets close to your Satanic archetypes (though there's one that gets even closer to it), and while he won't summon a legion of demons during his fight, he does summon a legion of flying, flaming, exploding skulls that home on you during his most dangerous attack. I'd recommend keep listening to this OST, and then check the other Soulsborne games (Demon Souls, Dark Souls Trilogy, Bloodborne and Sekiro), as the OST are always great.

Calling Godrick's theme a Frankenstein of a song is perfect. As the name "Godrick the Grafted" implies, he grafted numerous body parts onto himself in an attempt to become stronger, resulting in him looking like a horrific monster. As the song progresses, it feels like it's also getting "grafted", with more and more complexities getting added as it becomes this cacophony that shockingly still sounds great. Similarly, saying that Rykard's theme sounds like you made a mistake, and you're probably already dead, is pretty much the right vibe. Rykard is probably the most Satanic entity I've seen in a video game, being a giant serpent whose flesh bursts open with thousands of writhing arms from all those it has devoured, and he rains hellfire upon you while those low choirs make you feel like you've really gone to hell.

General Radahn's ost is pretty awesome too for a part 2! Also u should check Bloodborne ost's like Lawrence, the first vicar and Ludwig the accursed + holy blade

P.S.: My favourite tracks are Godskin Apostles, Radagons part of the final fight, the main theme and Mohg Lord of Blood. Though I do enjoy the other tracks too, to various degrees. But there is simply no bad tracks in Fromsoft Games. Only tracks that appeal to your taste more than others. But I'm happy that you enjoyed the Apostles as much as me and most of us fans. 😊 And the fact how much about the bosses that people reacting to it like you can gage from only listening to the soundtracks speaks of its high quality. As well as of how universal a language just is.

I know I'm late and you've most likely played the game at this point, but you were spot on for Rennala's theme, both parts of it. The first phase is basically a musical representation of her romantic tragedy, and her second phase theme feels like you're floating in space because she does float around and the arena is in the middle of the night sky. Also for the Serpent theme: you think you kill it, then Rykard awakens and things go from 50 to 500 real quick. A hellish theme to tell you that you effed up. Damn that was spot on as well.

honestly, doing them chronologically is good, but i'd do margit the fell omen into morgott the omen king and i'd do mohg the omen into mohg lord of blood, because those are songs that are pretty much designed to be one song, like, morgott the omen king is just margit the fell omen but with choir and more intense, and mohg lord of blood is mohg the omen but crazier and with choir (also ps that margit the fell omen track you listened too wasn't actually margit the fell omens ost, that was malenia blade of miquella, margit used malenia's ost in the beta so that's why it's titled margit) just a little heads up jhulian! (also also, the parts in the ost where they die down and go silent then explode into even crazier stuff is the phase 2 of the bosses, hence the drastic change up) sorry i talk a lot xD

Renalla, Queen of the full moon is a bossfight, however, you the player is not actually fighting her during the second phase. Instead you are fighting a sort of projection (or a fake version of her), because she is protected from you during phase 2. Which makes renalla the only boss in the game that does not die after you defeat it (well, except margit). She even talk to us and helps us after the fight.

Evil is the perfect description for Godrick's theme and Godrick himself. And if the second phase sounds even wilder, it's cause at 50 percent, Godrick hacks off one of his arms, then grafts the head of a dead dragon to the stump which comes to life and spews fire. Not to mention all the Tarnished he killed and grafted onto his own body. Yeh, evil is a good description.

You should know that the Malenia's theme you listened (from beta) is slightly different from the in game one. Basically the in game is a recording of a live orchestra like the others.

Just a heads up with Soulsborne music, they almost always change halfway through to signal the shift in boss phase. Bosses always have a 2 phase fight, usually at half hp where they will change their strategy and moveset. This is always reflected in the music. AFAIK there is only one boss who has 3 phases and 3 musical parts to their boss theme. And she can go ffff 😁

One small correction, the first one is malenia's theme. It used to be margit's theme in the network test for the game but was changed for release.
