You just saved med hours, only needed a fast test before manually reconstructing entire tracks - I needed to find the perfect pitch for the singer, and this came in handy (long distance, so no piano / guitar method). Its actually pretty handy :D

I thought I was doing everything right, but it doesn't actually change the audio. It changes the chord on the display as soon as I click a different chord on the circle of fifths, but the audio is still the same chord I started with. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm using version 5.1, btw. I don't know if something has changed or if there's a new setting I need to fix, but I'm following this as closely as I can with the newer version.

This is a high quality tutorial, which nicely unpacks the Chord Track, shows what it can do, and HOW to use it. Please ignore the naysayers and complainers. Everything presented is relevant, well organized, and well-explained. I can't imagine how to better cover the information any better, nor in a shorter time without losing or confusing people. Thank you Obedia, even if there are a few who try to put digs on you!

Thanks for detailed explanation. Especially for audio examples, which is somewhat harder to understand that basic midi notes relationships. By the way what is the easiest way to drop/record current progression from chord track to midi track?

Studio One uses VST and Audio Units (on Mac), and VST on Windows, as well as VST III on both platforms. Thanks!

Hello, friend! There's something strange on my Studio One. The 'follow chords' option for MIDI track doesn't appear for me in the inspector as shown in 05:40. Besides that, the MIDI events don't change when I transpose the chords. Could you explain why?
@Obedia6 жыл бұрын
Well, the MIDI wouldn't transpose if you didn't have "follow chords" enabled. Are you sure you're looking in the right location? You are using Studio One's latest version?

22 mins to say what could have been said in 3. You are not speaking to sub normal children, most people that have Studio one could figure the chord track out in 5 mins tops which begs the question, who is this video aimed at?
@entyce666 жыл бұрын
The title does say how to use the chord track so you could’ve just moved on to what you are looking for dude since you’re an expert in this area
@jamestucker4576 жыл бұрын
Painfully slow. Additionally, he doesn't breakdown the process. But mauls over things, skimming along until you want to pull your hair out from little to no information. 5 minutes in was all I could take.
@mineheadX15 жыл бұрын
I agree, it's painful to sit through 22mins of this when it can be summed in 2 mins...wtf can"t you export MIDI data from Chord Track ? I was hoping that was the function of it in the first place...the only sane reason to detect the chords is to use the MIDI data I would think...but no, that's not what it does...

Kind of annoying that you can't just drag the chords you identified into midi tracks.

Obviously knowledgeable speaker, friendly voice - but this well-intentioned video is extraordinarily wordy! How do you create an instructional video that takes so long to get off the ground and takes about 10 minutes to get to any actual sound examples? This video needs to be completely re-evaluated and re-thought out. And it needs a good editor! As someone before me said, this is a 22 minute video to say what could have been offered in three minutes. A lot of work went into this video, the author knows his stuff, but it is regrettable that what should’ve been an exciting commentary on a really fascinating new music software program has been turned into a listless, mind numbingly dull lecture that reminds me of my dry economics professor lectures that I suffered through in college so many years ago.
