Does the more in=depth video that you mentioned, show how to record stuff with StudioOne? I can't even figure out how to record myself. The online documentation provided by PreSonus is difficult for me to understand.
@Breakbeats92.54 жыл бұрын
Just helped my buddy get this up and running. Plugged in his 42 year old bass guitar into the interface, armed it for record and he began playing. Even on the built in Mac speakers, the tone was bright, crisp and responsive. We started fiddling with the effects pedals and my jaw hit the floor. If you play an instrument and want to record on your computer, this is is the DAW for you. I've used Ableton and Pro Tools for years and would gladly give up those DAW's for this. It's awesome.

How do I automate every button like I could on FL please because automation plays a huge part in my sound design process. I really hope there's a work around mate.
@blunderspublik5 жыл бұрын
Hey I think he addresses this around 12:05, where he shows how to add automation tabs in the sequencer window. It looks like you can right click on the VST's "knobs" and edit the automation envelopes like in FL Studio too...but i'm new to Studio One too.

This was helpful for a description of the available functions, however; as a new owner/user of the program, I was hoping to see a step by step application of the program. In other words a "how to" lay down the individual tracks starting with the drums, adding base, guitar, keys, vocals etc. I have found that the feature nuances can be learned and utilized as the user becomes familiar. As a songwriter; I just want to get to work setting up the rhythm track, instruments and vocals...blah... In any case; this was really good technical info.

Is there a way I can sort of "RESET" Studio one to its previous state? (cant find my missing stuff in the cloud either)

when I duplicate a measure of midi (using shift+D) I can't then edit the notes separately. When I click on one kick sound it highlights the rest from the other measures. Online, people said I have to bounce the duplicated measures to edit them separately. Is this true? I could just manually copy and paste or highlight and hold alt and drag but this is annoying. Any insight?

Ok Quanta ...maybe can you answer this question? I can record and playback a track in Studio One ..without a MIKE or INTERFACE ...yes ! Just wondering why? I put in a recorded audio track ...erase it and play my horn and record with only my headphones on? I know I need a mike and interface to properly record an audio track to sync with another midi track of course...but why can I record without it? Is my playing/ singing bleeding through my head phones?

@quantaaudio4 жыл бұрын
You can set it to be whatever you'd like to use. Higher sample rates will increase your audio file size and processor use, however. 44.1 is CD quality, thought most home producers will use 48kHz. Major studios typically use 96 and above. There's a lot of debate about which to use, so, I'd just research a bit so you can decide. I tend to use 48 for my music...

I have been using Cakewalk by Bandlab for about 5 months now. (Free daw) I'm thinking about getting S1 tomorrow. I will definitely need 1 on 1 training. Is S1 good for making beats? I recently purchased FL Studio 20 and trying to figure it out as well. Also, should I get S1 Artist or Pro?? Thanks
@quantaaudio5 жыл бұрын
Solo, I personally think Studio One is great for making beats, but, it's workflow just fits my needs and that's a very personal thing. I know a lot of people do use FL for making beats, maybe you're just not happy with it so far? Either way, most DAWs are going to enable you to lay down beats, it's just finding the one that you feel the most comfortable with. Most of the DAWs out there have free trials. I'd recommend downloading the trial version of Studio One and seeing how you feel about it first. I'd recommend the professional version if you're planning on really getting into music production. Otherwise, for hobby, etc. , the artist version would be fine. Just let me know if you end up purchasing S1 and would like one-on-one training! Good luck!
