Studio One 6.1: Event Sync Points

Both Audio Events and Instrument Parts now offer an optional variable Sync Point allowing you to add an additional timing reference if the transient or peak is anywhere in between the start and endpoints. Setting a Sync Point couldn’t be easier. It even snaps to transients inside Audio Events.

I’ve bugged Arnd for this since version 3.5. Logic Pro had this for years and it along with the Rhodes piano were the only two things I missed since changing over to S1. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! I love S1!💕💕💕💕

Wow, yes this is definitely one of these features that save ungodly amounts of time. Finally no more hand-aligning an audio file, selecting a range, and grouping everything into an event to have an easy way to snap to the grid. Awesome!

I am a big fan of Studio One because of professional sound quality of plugins and audio. I`m waching your videos constantly to know this DAW better and to have the easy workflow. I come back to FL STUDIO 20 only to finish my productions and sadly I have to admit that the transparency and composing is much more pleasant than in Studio One. Good visibility of the grid and background, you can easly focus locate each 4 bars, there are thick lines in midi parts in the arrangement, white/gray audio waveforms you can easly manipulate, all it is makes FL Studio more transparent. In Studio One there are only black waveforms. The midi "patterns" can be easly moved by clicking and duplicated, in Studio One each time you have to click choose the "tool" cursor, but it`s not a big deal. Many functions and sound in Studio One 5.5 are the killers, but the most important thing as transparency is left on the last place. It forces to come back to FL Studio 20 compose, than export midi and audio parts and construct whole project in Studio One. I hope that it would be improved in Studio One 7, someday.

Dear PreSonus Team, when you have already added the configuration function for high-resolution (4K) monitors so that it works regardless of the settings, the extensions are in my operating system (WIN). Pity the sight of your Users). Thanks.

@@presonus Indeed, macro menus made me update from 4 to 5.5 I think, at least it was late into 5. And switching toolbars using key commands made me update from 5 to 6.1 today. Now we just need them to pop up at mouse cursor like reaper, or even better as circular menus like blender. With this, the find command, the colors and the sync points, the customisation editor, browser favorites and preset saving, its really beginning to look like a great update.

Please upgrade the remote app at the very least to allow the use of VST instruments as a midi controller, similar to the great Logic Pro iOS remote software.

Wow, what a waste of energy. Why not just turn off the Snap feature and then you can move your events anywhere you want! We certainly don't need an extra sync point for that. 🤨 It's things like this that make me avoid upgrading to 6.0 - I'm not going to shell out a bunch of cash for some "upgrades" that don't really do anything useful.
@presonus
@presonus Жыл бұрын
Hi Gary, you may want to place the same event a few bars or beats further down, at the exact same position. That is MUCH easier to do with Sync Points. Sync Points are also an essential feature for anyone working in film scoring. -GBY

Good feature, but i have questions. Is there a Play from Sync Point function? Also is there a next/prev sync point if you have multiple events on a track with their own sync point?
