I'm new to voiceover. This was a great tutorial and super simple to follow along with. Thank you!

I was looking for a video to show a newbie how to process their auditions. This is perfect. Thank you.

The info was useful, the video was great, but... I think what I'm taking away from all of this was the last bit "You want to be the star...". A whole semester summarized in just 7 words. Amazing.

Thanks for the video. Do you have a video showing how to create and save settings in studio one for voice overs that you can use again and again? Thanks

Great, but there is a noise floor to high, why you don't use a gate expander at the begin of plugins?
@TimTalksAudio20 күн бұрын
Of course you can!!

@TimTalksAudio i have a Solid State Logic 2 and Lewitt440 Pure, i work only as narrator and voice over, do you think Studio One 7 work well through a serial of plugins or there is problem of latency? Thank you.

I didnt quite understand how you found the 339 hz for your voice. I thought you were trying to find a frequency that didnt quite change your voice and boost it, but instead you filtered it out. Could you clear this step a little bit more for me please? Thanks for the awesome video.
@SuperDenglish2 жыл бұрын
It's called subtractive EQ. Typically the frequencies between 300hz and around 1.5hz have less 'musical' information in them as they sit outside the range of fundamentals and harmonic (go look these up). The frequencies around 350hz are known as the 'mud' area. Cleaning this up allows you to reduce the perceived level of bass without steep low-end filtering, and also improves the appearance of the top end without boosting. 500hz can also be a problem as can 800hz. These are just rough guides. It alters depending on the source material.

Just to add, the fundamentals can extend upto 400hz plus depending on the instrument.

Hi I'm manuella, I need help. I want to become a voice over, I built a studio, got a rode mic, pro headphones,scarlett 2i2 and studio one 5. My issue how to install and adapt everything for voice over, like audio setup and how to work studio one for VO. Like what are the bases, hertz etc.. for VO.

What do you mean? Like the window looks different? The order of plugins? Or what plugins you use?
@TheDRBC Жыл бұрын
@@TimTalksAudio perhaps it’s just a different version? But for instance the knobs/options/sliders on the Pro EQ look different - what version are you using in the video?
@TimTalksAudio Жыл бұрын
@@TheDRBC Ah! I think I understand now. What version of S1 are you using? Some of the plugins got GUI updates with newer versions!

@@TimTalksAudio I am using studio one 4 I think, but it’s fully updated. After leaving my first comment I did think it was probably version related 😅

I guess I'm still too much of a beginner to benefit from this. I've been using S1 for 3 years now (mostly MIDI) but every time I try to find a video to help me with doing audio tracks, I keep finding ones that assume I already know a whole bunch, and use terms that I have to pause the video in order to look up. 😆 It can be very frustrating. Like your Normalize macro... how do I do that? I think I need to find someone who can sit with me and guide me through every step of the process, and not assume I know anything at all. LOL
