Hi there. I play drums in a band. Sometimes I use my electronic drum kit at gigs, and I wanted to start using headphones while playing live, as well as having a monitor speaker next to me. Do you think these would do the job, as I still want to be able to hear the band as well as what's in the headphones. Thanks.

Broke my monitor headphones after 4 years and needed to find a replacement. Found the samson SR850 and ordered them. They arrived a few days ago and started burning them in. Last night, I tried them out, connected it to a DAC, played a few tracks and was so amazed at the sound it was producing! Daft Punk never sounded that good before in my ears and I could hear separation between sounds for the first time without using an equalizer. These are so comfortable as well. I'll most probably buy a couple more as spares because right now it's really cheap to buy. So thank you for the review. U were one of the few people I watched before buying these cans. :)

This is the prefect headphone under 40 dollars. Being semi open back headphone, the sound is very realistic. The highs are very bright. The mid is prefect, and the bass is not that punchy but you can hear it upto ~30HZ(which is fine for most uses). If the surrounding environment is quiet, it is suitable for all purpose.
@Darlagayle5 жыл бұрын
In love with the visuals, and got me excited for the sr850 I ordered. I appreciate that you also put in a sample track you made using the headphones. It wasn't that exciting I think esp mixing-wise (great beat tho!) but I guess that means you must have heard them very clearly on the headphones in spite of the relatively low volume. Thanks!
