Thats the sort of content that got me hooked on your channel, as always you clearly show what you can achieve and how you do it without pushing a specific piece of kit. Great video, John!

Well done my friend!!! Going to switch out my speed lights for my Stella Pro to see if i can achieve this look.
@kaskoPhotoАй бұрын
You def can. Just remember to raise the iso a little and start at medium power and move up from there

I'm amazed that the light caught her when you feathered the light with a grid. I was always under the impression that if the client doesn't see the light nothing or little would reach him. Must try this.
@kaskoPhotoАй бұрын
The feathering is slight and it restricts only part of the gridded light from reaching the subject

I’m frustrated with the M11. I can’t get it work in HSS. Can you do a video on how ?
@kaskoPhotoАй бұрын
Yes. Are you using Profoto Connect Pro or the Leica SF40/60?
@artistwithcamerasАй бұрын
@ no. Godox L remote with AD200 and it hits every 5th shot !

Do you have the profoto a10 and a nikon speedlight? I'm wondering how the TTL compares since nikon collaborated with profoto
@kaskoPhotoАй бұрын
I have used the Profoto A10 extensively with the Nikon system. I mostly used it in manual on Nikon. The TTL is ok.

Honestly... I'm gonna just go with speedlights now and make that my 'thing' 😂 it just amazed me how versatile they can be
@kaskoPhoto18 күн бұрын
I can do most of my work with speedlights but having just one heavy hitter helps. For studio, you can get a very decent plug-in flash very inexpensively and just pull it out for those times when needed

@@kaskoPhoto I'm gonna build up to that 'big' flash eventually. I literally started taking photography seriously 2 moths ago, and just got a speedlight a few weeks back. I was heavily discouraged (by another photographer) from using it for general photos, let alone with a softbox.. But this channel specifically has helped me see there's so many possibilities just starting here. And I tried it outside with a softbox and it worked incredibly! Even did a "shoot with a friend of mine just bouncing it off the walls. The pics are awesome. So thank you for helping me get my confidence back in the choice to start with a speedlight.

@ really happy you tried it and are doing well. Start with one and then add a second sometime down the road to add a backlight, rim light for separation when needed. It’s frustrating at times but once it clicks - you will just get better and better from there,
