That "time-stretched" (pre-recorded from Mad Max sessions) cello demonstration near the end is KILLER!!!!!!!! I'd never leave the house, if I had that, lol! Though my kids would go running...

Thank you Tom, these insights are awesome!!! By the way, you said you didn't want to reveal the cue title to avoid spoilers... but it's actually displayed on the first page of the score! Just so you know... Thanks again, I'm enjoying these videos immensely!

Thanks for doing these Tom, I always look forward to hearing your work. Just one question, when you get a feature film delivered how do you divide the cues or scenes to work on? Are they sent to you as different reels? Your 3M25 title suggests the 25th cue of the 3rd reel.

Amazing video, thanks! What's your usual sampling rate for the innstruments like the cello in 27'00''? Do you go above 96kHz?

Hi Tom! Sorry if you've answered this before and I've missed it. In the final mix, do you replace the programmed orchestral instruments with the real ones, or do you keep them both? Enormous thank you for the astounding work!!! I've been following all your tutorials and learning a lot! Cheers

Are the live woodwinds, brass and the strings recorded at the same time or in separate sessions ?
@sfan17 жыл бұрын
On the sessions for The Dark Tower, the percussion, woodwinds, brass, and strings were recorded separately.
@junkiexlofficial7 жыл бұрын
correct

What was the point of recording musicians if you just put synthesized brass an strings on top of them anyway? Just curious why it's done that way a lot.
@SecondUniverse1017 жыл бұрын
to give it a brighter spectrum and "feed" the frequency range/fill the gaps in the frequency spectrum i guess

What's the divise (?!) cello, strings ? Anyone ?
@MaxxMcGeeImpactStudios7 жыл бұрын
"Divisi": It's for polyphonic playing of strings. Strings can play more than one note at a time, but if you want separate players to play a chord you write divisi.
