Nice! I am using the Scarlett interface as well. I find it to be much better than my prior interface. Nice setup, it really gets the job done!

+MusicHybrid Hey man! It's great to hear from you! Hope you're keeping well and still creating awesome music! Yeah I can't fault the Scarlett. I previously used a Lexicon interface but newer version of it didn't have as a good reviews as the scarlett! Cheers man!

I have the same interface, love it! You should be running a studio. your writing, playing multi-instruments, and mixing/producing ability, for a band/indie artist who can't afford studio time.. your the total pkg. looking forward to Part 2.

+Jim I've not had it for that long but the interface has worked a dream so far! Great piece of kit! Thank you so much man! I'd actually quite enjoy doing that I reckon!

+Ricky progrock Hi Ricky! Thank you so much my friend! It's great to hear from you :D Ah I was a bit too daring I feel with bossa nova! I'm much better playing it (the little I do play!) on the electric guitar haha! I really appreciate your kind words man they mean a lot! Hope you are keeping well!

Man! You're a beast on the keys!! When i midi drum, i have to loop a part and do it in layers. I gotta work on actually playing instead of just programming them.
@AeroMetalMoe8 жыл бұрын
Your keyboard drumming was insane! Do you always record your drums like that? All in all this was great to watch. You seem to be a super nice guy and watching this video gave me the feeling of hanging out with you, which I'd love to do, haha! :)
@258lemons8 жыл бұрын
+Marco Philipp Thank you so much Marco! That really means a lot to hear! I'm not really sure when/how I developed the whole keyboard drumming thing haha! I think it was just years ago all I had were keyboard drums to record with so just kind of adapted a playing style of sorts that has progressed over the years! Yeah I do mainly record like that! What I tend to do is I'll record the beat on the keyboard it then quantize it usually. If I'm wanting a more elaborate fill I'll go to the midi editor screen and programme it in on cubase but yeah the majority of my drumming is done on the keyboard! So glad that you enjoyed the video man and again, thank you for such kind words!

Wow man, you are a great guitarist and keyboardist no wonder your jam tracks sound so great. May I ask about your guitar rig tone? Is that your straight in tone or do you tweak any settings to dial it in?
@258lemons6 жыл бұрын
I am so sorry I cannot believe I haven't replied to this! No, no that's straight into guitar rig! I honestly think it's such great value for money. Whilst Axe Fx is probably better... I mean G rig is a fraction of the cost!

Your very talented on the guitar and keyboard. Im currently playing my guitar through TH3 rock version through my MAudio interface going through my pioneer stereo's tower speakers. Tell me something would purchasing the KRK's make my sound a lot better?

Man !! what a fantastic musical genius you are.....RESPECT...... I really don't have words to praise you..... sheer brilliance.....your skills & technical prowess is mind blowing (i would have to take 100 rebirths to achieve that level... ;), still i wouldn't be that perfect )..... ( can i know, what is written over there in the sticky note behind you :D ..... just askin...)..... keep creating awesome music.... waiting for Grand Design 3.... \m/
@258lemons8 жыл бұрын
+Hemant Chambhare Hey man! I honestly can't thank you enough for such a kind comment! That truly meant a lot to read! :D If it's the sticky notes I think you mean then they're old biology notes from back in my School days that have seemingly become part of the decor! One shows a DNA molecule and the other specific definition of the term fertilisation... very odd I know but I could never remember the exact nature of either back then apparently! Grand Designs 3 is coming along pretty well these days! It's definitely going to be the longest of the series. It's nearly longer than GD2 already I think! Again, thank you so much man!

Hi, I have the same amp. I like the amp, but would like to get better tubes one day. do you prefer to record with guitar rig 5. or do you mic up the amp to. at the moment i have my emulated output from my amp going into a Yamaha 01v96i mixer interface. it sounds alright. i cant seem to find sounds i like going through guitar rig 5, or other ones like that. they still sound synthetic to me. but when i hear other people play things through guitar rig5 on their you tube videos, it sounds good.
@258lemons8 жыл бұрын
Hi Veli! Thank you for your comment. It's funny I'm actually the opposite in that I'm not a fan of the emulated output on the blackstar and prefer guitar rig. Unfortunately I don't have proper microphones to mic up the blackstar but I would love to try it someday because it is a fantastic amp! Having said that, I'm of the opinion that amp emulator software will probably sound better than a mic'd amp recorded by someone who either doesn't have the correct gear or much experience/knowledge. As I've not got no sound engineering experience (or proper mics for the job!) I always feel safer trusting my tone to the software but as I say, I'd love to try mic-ing one day!

i have been watching your videos and i'm blown away with your talent!!!!! i have been doing this same thing since when all you had was a 4 track reel to reel and just in the past 10 years have been transgressing to the digital age..tells you how old i am ...hahaha...i do have music background and have played piano since i was 8 and guitar since 12.. soooo my question is... how did you get so darn good at such a young age???? did your parents lock you in your room forcing you to practice 20 hrs a day????? ..
@258lemons8 жыл бұрын
+david hale hahaha thank you so much David! I really appreciate such kind words! Well I'm much the same as yourself in terms of when I started both piano and guitar. You're not too far off the mark haha I would have given up the piano very early on had it not been for my dad insisting that I continued. Never quite got to the point of locking me in with the piano but at times it did come close ;) I don't really practice either instrument any more although I should as certain elements of my playing have become sloppy although I tend to avoid these areas when I play now haha. I have always really enjoyed improvising and that was what kept me playing piano. Whilst I have massive respect and appreciation for the world of classical music, sitting for hours on end learning someone else's song wasn't particularly inspiring for me. Jazz/blues and general improv kept me motivated on that front! Guitar I went through a phase of sitting practising for hours to a metronome but that was a long time ago. That was John Petrucci from Dream Theater that served as inspiration for that! Do you still play yourself?
@davidhale95958 жыл бұрын
although i had to put my passion on hold off and on over the years to build a buisness and family ,i still found time to sit at my piano or pick up one of my guitars and get lost in my world and play.. i am also an improve player and play multiple styles..i do have a nice collection of vintage rack pieces and old tube amps.. been collecting them for a many years,but my pride and joy is my collection of vintage gibsons..i have a very nice space in my man cave where i have set up a midi system and digital studio and now days spend most of my spare time trying to learn how to use all this stuff.. ;-)
