I love how eclectic this studio is, and how eclectic its owners are. At first I presumed that this would be a facility catering to a heavily acoustic aesthetic, so it was a blast to see the synth and drum machine come out to play!

This is wild... I grew up here and my parents are the ones that built the studio!

Oh sadness -- it looks like they're not using this facility anymore. Times change... Anyway, this studio tour introduced me to L CON, which I've been listing to for a half hour now, entranced!

What a great space! Definitely somewhere you'd want to make a record in.

Totally, and the kind of place where you could literally sleep on the floor and wake up and record. Thanks for watching and commenting! -Scott

Did you track the intro music? If you did, what snare did you use and how did you treat it? I need that sound!
@OtherRecordLabels4 жыл бұрын
Hey Kyle! Glad you dig it. Yah that’s a tune I put together for the series. It’s been a few years now so I’ll have to open the session to find out. It could be a sample or it could be a snare I pulled from a session. I’ll check into it.

It looks like a little church, or a big chapel. I'll bet there is some serious gospel around there.

Is it just me or does it look like and sound like it needs a good deal more absorption.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. The couches and rugs help a lot... but I think it depends on what they are recording. There was some mobile baffles that would help. But I do know they like that live roomy sound... Anyway, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! - Scott

What, so you can add reverb back in with $3000 unit? You probably like enriched flour too.
