How does signing with a record label benefit you as an artist? Why wouldn't you just self release?

I personally think that especially when you are starting as a producer you don’t have the biggest audience as a newcomer. Labels can 1. Help you reach more people. 2. They sometimes master your tracks for free. 3. You get some validation for your ego that your mixes sound good enough for labels. So you know you have achieved something. And 4. They take all the work off of you to distribute your music to all the stores. So you have more time producing and creating content. But later on I would defo self release or create my own label because of the royalty split. I hope that could help you a bit :)

Hey Newman Sibisi. Thanks for reaching out ! For me it means sending your tracks to labels and they basically approving that they want to publish your tracks because it suits their style and the track is mixed well and creates specific emotions that the labels wants to create in people. And they send you after a contact for the royalties and you send them the finished tracks. Then they publish them on all platforms without you having to pay anything. Hope I could help you a bit :)
