Hey guys, what a week it's been! After owning my Canon pixma ip8750 for 2 months, I've finally sorted out my ICC print profiles. I've added some new Father's Day designs to my Etsy store this week and I'm so excited to have nearly hit 50 subscribers on KZbin!

Thank you so much! It was getting to the point that the printer was just sat there and I was using my older Epson each time, which kind of defeated the purpose of getting a new and fully working one. I'm so pleased it's fully working now 😊

Hi Danielle. Glad to have found you on KZbin. I too recently bought a Pixma iP8750. Cannot get the colours to print out how they look on screen in Photoshop. Can you share your process with me of how you solved your issue with print profiles, as I have the same frustrating problem. Thank you.

@@danielle-chibichidesigns4433 What makes you want to use the eco tank? have you got experience using one of these? Im looking at picking up a IP8750 now however I noticed youve had quite a few issues with printing on cardstock. I currently use a HP Envy Photo 6220 and the blacks are ok but its not designed for thicker cardstock so it tends to move the image over 1-2cm which isnt acceptable. Have you looked into the other pixma ranges that arent so heavily photo orientated? like the Canon PIXMA TS5350a or the Canon Pixma TS9550, these appear to take 300gsm card from the rear feed tray, or is Epsom in your experience the better product for cardstock prints? specifically the eco tank. The newer Eco tanks are around £200 wouldnt that ve cheaper than your current cannon, or are you reffering to a specific model?

@@davidduce7119 The major reasons for wanting an ecotank are that they are cheaper to run with official ink. I currently use compatibles and the ink colour is excellent, but the longevity isn't as good as official ink. In both my personal experience and the dozens of hours I've spent researching, Epson print quality in terms of colour matching and depth is superior to Canon. You can get most printers to accept thicker cardstock, but you will ruin the rollers (my ancient 1500w has this problem). I need an A3 ecotank, so definitely not cheaper than the ip8750 sadly.

I would really love to see how you played around with your settings! I'm currently struggling because my dark colors looks so muddy and faded. Basically black looks like a deep shade of grey unless I print on my very expensive paper. I'm not sure if I should transition to only using the expensive paper but I'm hoping you have tips for how to adjust the colors better before printing! I've never gotten remotely close to getting my colors to look true! Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi Hardip, I don't actually use photoshop, but affinity designer. I have noticed that the alignment when printing is slightly out. I know there is a way to go into settings and edit the borders, that should sort it for you. Mine is only slight, so I haven't bothered adjusting. I hope that helps!

I've just purchased the Pixma ip8750, and I feel like I'm in the exact situation! I've spent quite a lot of time (and ink!) trying to figure out the settings and have managed to kind of wrap my head around the colour settings, but the biggest issue that I'm facing is that the ink is just being absorbed into any paper I use, making all the edges of my designs look blurry :( Did this ever happen to you when printing on thicker card stock? xox

Oh Lucy that sounds like a nightmare! Luckily for me the card stock I use is tried and tested from my Epson. I usually use photo quality matte card. I did have one card that blurred and went really dull, it was a greeting cards blank, which was really frustrating. I'm happy to share some cards that work for me, if you could tell me what thickness and finish you need?

@@danielle-chibichidesigns4433 Oh That would be fab :) I'm currently testing out different papers to find one that works well, so really appreciate any recommendations you might have! Originally I wanted to use a textured cardstock, but I think this is where my issue lies with the ink bleeding, so now I think I'm just looking for something quite thick and matte, anything around 300gsm+ :)

Currently in the exact same boat! I've just upgrade to a Canon Pixma ip8750 after also constantly being recommended them, having come from a very standard canon around £60. So I expected great things considering the price increase! However, the colours are SO muted and nowhere near like the screen. I've had a play in settings upping certain colours etc. and nothing is working. My cheaper printer did a much better job, even with quality. I'm printing onto 250-300gsm cardstock. What sort of settings do I need to be adjusting and playing around with? Never really had to fiddle about with a profile before. Any help would be so appreciated!
