Hear, hear! When I was 14 years old and "Murder on the Orient Express" was a new release, I had an original-soundtrack album of the score. I listened to it four hours, every day, for six months. That score is STUNNING. God, what a revelation and a joy. By the way, I heard that Bernard Herrman, who wrote many thriller scores, came out of a screening of "Orient Express' incensed, livid, outraged that this murder story had been given a lush, romantic. almost Viennese score. Little did he know that this was the producers' INTENT -- to go for glamour and elegance, a long-forgotten elegance from the 1920's and 1930's, rather than jarring thriller stuff. The original "Orient Express" (1974) is a masterpiece.
