In Japan, it is said that people see their whole life’s flashbacks at the moment they die. Those flashbacks are called “Soumatou” (走馬灯). This is why the guy saw his childhood buddy dog and when he realized it was a Soumatou (flashback), he understood he was done for. If you keep watching anime, reading manga, or any Japanese literature, you’ll see this flashback concept a lot.

For example, this same Soumatou flashback happened in a super popular anime’s episode one, which aired in April. (If you know what I’m talking about… that super long episode one). White flowers, Soumatou flashback, and boom! It's such a common sense in Japan that we Japanese don't even realize it's not a common idea outside Japan. We even talk about these flashbacks in daily life. e.g. "I thought I saw a soumatou (my life's flashback) so I was sure I was dead!"

Gojo has red blue purple and infinity, red basically pushes people away blue basically attracts one point to another (how he teleports and sucks those two guys together), purple is the mix of pushing and pulling together which creates an infinite mass that just destroys everything, infinity is just the closer you get to him the slower you go but because you can get infinitely slower you never actually touch him. Just to be clear, the author never stated that they actually dislike Gojo. They made some statements which basically say that Gojo is a pain in the ass to deal with as a writer, because he is so massively overpowered and thus it makes it difficult to make situations feel truly intense or life threatening as viewers may always think something along the lines of: "Worst case, Gojo just comes in clutch and saves the day." So the author doesn't dislike Gojo as a character, they dislike him in the sense that he is difficult to write a compelling story with real threats around. But I believe that makes Gojo all the better because it pushes Gege(the author) to try and write a story in which the world kind of revolves around Gojos ridiculous power but also where he isn't just a deus ex machina to solve every problem. It pushes Gege to write a much more intricate and well thought out story because Gojo is such a writing obstacle. Without Gojo, Gege would get away with writing much simpler scenarios, which would not have brought us the amazing show we have now thanks to Gojo.

Don't worry, Achilles and the tortoise isn't a spoiler - the paradox talks about how, if the tortoise gets a head start in the race, say, by 10 metres, then Achilles will first have to reach the 10 metre point, by which time the tortoise would have traversed some distance and reached, say, the 11 metre point. Then Achilles would have to catch up with that 1 metre, by which time the tortoise would have moved forward a little more, so on and so forth, infinitely. But the reality is that, (without jujutsu) we know Achilles will definitely catch up and surpass the tortoise - hence it being called paradox (it's closely related/similar to Zeno's paradox!). Gojo's jujutsu basically breaks this reality and brings the infinity part of the paradox into reality - no one can ever touch him due to the gap between him and others always shrinking but never reaching zero!

It's a concept that ties with the idea of "kotodama" in Japan. Kotodama means "(spiritual) powers of the words you say out loud." That's a common sense in Japan. If you say something out loud, it becomes true. Lots of Japanese fantasy stories use this idea. So it makes sense from a Japanese cultural perspective that if you reveal your hand, which is saying it out loud and have the opponent understand the power, makes that curse stronger.

"Satoru" is Gojo's first name and "Gojo" is his last name , the Gojo clan is one of the most important clans in Jujutsu world just like the Zenin Clan and Kamo clan (The arrow guy from Kyoto school belongs from the Kamo clan and has their hereditary blood manipulation technique, Maki and Mai are from the Zenin clan but they both don't have their clans hereditary techniques) also it was mentioned in season 1 that Megumi Fushiguro is from the Zenin clan and was apparently sold there but Gojo saves him, also Toji in the first ep said he wasn't a Zenin anymore as he took his wifes last name "Fushiguro" Also some extra info which isn't a spoiler: The arrow guy from Kyoto is called "Kamo Noritoshi" and in the S1 finale we learned that the most vile sorcerer in Jujutsu history was also called "Kamo Nortoshi", basically they both are from the same clan and even share the same first name

The reason people don't just Domain Expansion right away is because you can't use cursed techniques for a while afterwards, on top of the large use of cursed energy. So if you lose a domain battle or fail to finish your targets you will be vulnerable. Not only that, but there are techniques that anyone can learn to protect themselves against domains, making them a big gamble agaisnt opponents if you don't know what they can do.

So important note about Gojo's technique and Curse techniques in general. Each technique has its normal way of operating and then its reverse. Gojo's normal technique when ampilified is a pulling force, while the reverse technique is pushing. But reverse curse technique is super hard to pull off so he's struggling to do it. In order to make red, he has to use positive energy a.k.a. reverse cursed energy (RCE), which is what Shoko was trying to explain to them; so at the moment he can't make purple. RCE is used to heal, a few characters can use it on themselves but just Shoko and Yuta can use it in others (Geto talks about this in JJK 0, when he waits for Yuta to heal Maki and the others before resuming the fight).

I think the best metaphor for how Gojo's neutral infinity works is a staircase with a person representing someone or something trying to get through to Gojo at the bottom climbing the stairs in order to do so. What Gojo does is infinitely increase the size of the staircase, while the person at the bottom is not "stopped", they can never reach Gojo and lose energy as they go further up the staircase. That ability, which is functionally a barrier, is called his "neutral infinity" His warping of space, where he teleports or moves people around, is his "blue infinity" and it works by him basically removing "space" between different points, for example between him and paperbag clone, which causes reality to "correct" itself by filling the space resulting in the movement that is shown. When Gojo is talking about vectors and how complicated it can get, he is basically talking about mastering the technique to where reality corrects itself in the manner that he desires (the bag man flying towards him instead of in a different direction for instance). He also uses this ability to teleport. By doing the same thing in reverse.

Basically the concepts of what we all take for granted today, were intuitively understood by us, and some of us smart enough to explain it a bit, science always is amazing. I know this video is from months ago but I still love the way Gojo’s technique works so I’m gonna explain it anyway. So Gojo’s Limitless makes it so that you will never reach him, he says it’s perpetually slowing you down but it’s more like he is perpetually halving the distance between you and him. If you and him are at a distance of two, he halves it and you’re at a distance of one, then he halves that and you’re at a distance of 0.5, then he halves THAT and you’re at a distance of 0.25, so on and so on. So even if you get really really really close to him, your distance will never reach zero. Essentially Gojo’s technique is math.

Even if Gojo can beat him now, there would still be some fingers left in the open, which means Sukuna could find another vessel maybe centuries later. 16:22 Youd be correct as this was established in S1 during the Gojo and Jogo (volcano curse) fight. For example a dense enough Domain could neutralize Gojos infinity which is what Jogo tried to do. Another example would be the rope weapon Miguel was using against Gojo in JJK 0. In Gojos words it had "an unusual curse" woven into it which was disrupting his techniques including his Infinity. So yeah there are counters to his Infinity, its just that most people/curses dont possess them so hes near invincible.

Gojo Satoru inherited the cursed technique of Limitless from the Gojo family. Every Limitless user has nigh absolute control over metaphysical space. However the Six Eyes is a rare ocular jujutsu in the Gojo family inherited once in every hundred years. The Six Eyes allows the jujutsu user to have impeccable precision in manipulation of cursed energy. It also views the world in terms of mass, length, time, space and energy down to the atomic level. Infinity is a neutral form of the Limitless Technique. Infinity works on the theorem of Achilles and the tortoise. Think of a person and a tortoise racing, however the tortoise has a head start by some distance. No matter how fast the person runs, there will always be some space left between them. It is denoted by a converging infinite geometrical series like this: 1 + 1/2 + 1/4 +1/8 +1/16 + ... ∞ = 1/(1-1/2) = 2 [Sum of an infinite GP series]. Hence you see that even though the closing distance between the person and the tortoise is decreasing, it never reaches zero. Thus the person is always at some separation from the tortoise. The Infinity works in this way. It creates infinite spaces between Gojo and incoming object or person, which means the person or the object is moving at some speed but never reaches Gojo due the constantly emerging space he or it has to cover. Cursed Technique Lapse or Amplification: Blue is a reinforced form of the Limitless. In this form, Gojo uses his cursed energy to bring concept of negative distance in reality. Lets say you are moving from A to B. Considering two frames of references, what we normally do is we travel from A to B while the path remains stationary. But what Gojo does is, by bringing negative distance between himself(A) and his destination(B), the path is forced to pull backwards to correct the negative distance. But the result of Gojo being of less mass than the space, it appears he teleports from A to B. What actually happens is "space" passes through "Gojo" rather than "Gojo" passing through "space". Hence you see whenever Gojo teleports, the teleportation distorts the space around it. That is how Cursed Technique Lapse works. Cursed Technique Lapse Maximum Output: It is a reinforced form of the Blue technique. Gojo now forces the negative distance to become infinite, due to which the space contracts around it infinitely, creating a blackhole. Cursed Technique Reversal: Red is a reversed form of reinforced Limitless. In this form, Gojo combines two negative cursed energies to become positive. However achieving reversed cursed technique is very hard for jujutsu sorcerers, as high amounts of negative cursed energy is required to feed a positive. In Red, the opposite of Blue happens. In place of converging the series, we are now diverging the series. This causes the distance between two position to drastically increase. Hence whenever Red is used, it explodes in the form of a bomb, forcibly expelling anything in the vicinity. Formed of positive energy and having twice as power as Blue, it deals highly significant damage to cursed spirits who are filled with negative cursed energy. Hollow Technique: Purple is a non-standard form of the Limitless. Purple is formed when Red and Blue collides together. Blue has negative space and matter in it while having high energy, Red has positive space and matter while having high energy. When these two collide, the space and matter cancel each of their negative counterparts, which creates an imaginary mass. The property of explusion of Red gives Purple motion and the property of attraction of Blue gives Purple an attraction effect. The result is an imaginary mass moving forward in space while simultaneously sucking in matter and erasing them. Black Flash: Gojo has the capability to use Black Flash. We still haven't seen him doing so. Curtain : Gojo can form a barrier where he allows certain people in for a condition. Divergent FIst: Gojo is capable of using DIvergent FIst. Falling Blossom Emotion Technique: Gojo can wrap himself with a barrier with this technique, cancelling the sure hit effects of a domain around him. Domain Amplification: Same as previous one, he wraps himself in a barrier to negate the effects of other's cursed technique. New Shadow Style Simple Domain: A simple area domain created to ensure Gojo's sure hit effect. Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void: Gojo's domain. A metaphysical space reinforced by Infinity. The victim is bombarded with all types of stimuli and information making their brain catatonic. Only Gojo, those in contact with Gojo and Mahoraga are immune to its sure hit effect. This domain has a barrier. However, Gojo can willingly change the impact radius of his domain and also reverse sure hit effects inside or outside the domain's barrier.

As many said in the comments already, here's a rundown of Achilles and the Tortoise. Achilles is the fast one, turtle is slow. If Ach gives the turtle a headstart, he'll be able to catch up quickly, but in the time it takes to catch the turtle, the turtle has moved a little bit further. This means Achilles is still further behind. Logically, we know he'll catch up and pass the turtle eventually, but if you think about it as "achilles catches up, but turtle is further ahead" and loop that, the logic of the parable dictates that the turtle will win. Analogous to Gojo, he can manifest the logic of the parable through his cursed technique which is basically what infinity is and how he does the "magnetism" of his CT.

not to be a nerd, but the tortoise can only win if he makes the gaps bigger each time, becasue infinities arent all the same. you have convergent and divergent infinities for example. 1+2+3+4....(this is a divergent infinity) and 1/2+1/4+1/8+1/16......(this is a convergent infinity). So if this tortoise only moves ahead half the lenght after Achilles reaches his previous point, Achilles will actually eventually catch him (this is called Zeno's solution i think). But if the tortoise makes every gap bigger than the last one (divergent infinity) then achilles will never catch him.

sorcerers cant just spam domain expansions. opening one would burn them out. they wouldnt even be able to use their techniques for a few minutes due to the energy burn out. so yeah its more of a "final resort" thing. i dont wanna get into spoiler territories but not all domain expansions work the same. they also have different conditions. a common weakness domain expansions have, is that theyre easy to break from the outside. like what yuji did to mahito's domain barrier to get in to save nanami. Also there are techniques made to counterattack domains or at least cancel the auto-hit for a few seconds. yall will see more of these in the next arc and future seasons.

The Six Eyes is jujutsu that appears every several centuries. It's an ocular jujutsu that enhances the user's abilities in so many ways, including having the ability to see the flow of cursed energy as well as figure out someone's technique just by looking at it. But the most broken thing about the Six Eyes is its ability to help its user utilize their cursed energy much more efficiently. Meaning that a user of Six Eyes can use less cursed energy in their techniques than a normal sorcerer. For example Gojo's Red Technique requires 1 million cursed energy to perform. With Six Eyes, Gojo can minimize the cursed energy he has to use upto 100 even a mere just 10, instead of 1 million. Basically The Six Eyes is broken af and makes Gojo's Limitless possible to do

Blue creates an imaginary space, which causes the surrounding real space to converge upon the imaginary space, essentially “sucking in” everything within the desired radius. Think of it like this: if you suddenly removed a sphere of water in the middle of a pool, the surrounding water would rush in to fill the gap. Red is simply the reverse effect. Instead of the imaginary space being filled by real space, the imaginary space explodes into real space, repelling anything within the desired radius. When combined through Purple, the push and pull effects essentially just tear everything apart that it touches indiscriminately.

A domain expansion is like a last resort especially when u know you might lose. It’s ur most trust domain that you rule… technically. But if someone else’s domain is more powerful it’s pointless unless u have a cool trick. One may create it and the other can create one to “delete” the others domain so you won’t lose. Or they both can create one to make the battle field equal and fight until someone loses.
