Lessee can get an injection against eviction is Lessor tries to evict against the agreement terms but a license can't get such injunction. Licensee at best ask for compensation for premature eviction without any default in his/her part. This is another major difference between lease and license

According to Registration Act, it isnt important. However, the regulations depend on the state stamp act also. For eg in Maharashtra, its compulsory to register irrespective of months.

as per registration act nothing directly is mentioned regarding the maximum period of leave and license. Also in maha stmp act, stampduty for leave and license is same as lease if executing for more than 60 months. SC in judgements held the diff betwn the two lease and L& L can be figured out of course through the intention of the agreement and also terms.

Madam, in LLA the premisses is given for use and no possession is given to the licensee... Now in such a case if a LLA is registered, won't it amount to giving up the possession of the premisses, as the registration is required when the premisses is transferred by way of sale or lease...

Mam are the formats of leave and license or the rent agreement for 11 months prepared by the typists sitting in front of the collectorate on 100 or little more amount stamp paper and certified by the notary LEGAL or we need to register in SDM Office. Becuase in Manesar/Gurgaon the stamp duty is very high about 1% as compared to Maharashtra where it is much less as you said. So if the owner is giving his property on rent on Leave & License mode, as per 1%, stamp duty/registration charges would be about 15000/- Please guide.
