Your work is incredible .. I like how you are revising and redesigning details as you go along. I am currently working on a full size air dry clay 'Grogu' and you have inspired me to work towards a Mk2 version incorporating some of your ideas. I have fine art works I should be working on but there is something about that kid that just gets me obsessed and my actual work is on easels collecting dust. Keep up the brilliant work.

@@studioofmm Thank you SOOO MUCH! I downloaded a Ghost from Thingiverse, printed it vertically. The print looks great until it gets to the last parts, top of hands and head. You see the round circles in layers as it comes up. Any idea how to get rid of something like that? Hoping to print them in Glow in the Dark filament without using putty etc to ruin it.

@studioofmm2 жыл бұрын
Tops of curved surfaces like that are unfortunately one of those things that happens with all 3d prints. You could try something like adaptive layers to try and minimize it. If you still think it looks a bit rough you could try sanding the layers down a little, that way you wouldn’t have to add something else that ruins your filament choice.

I would buy one because I think this character is adorable. I also loved baby Groot. Baby Yoda has a similar look like Stitch and the Gremlin characters. Since you created him you should give him a name. You have a wonderful talent and I enjoyed watching you create Baby Yoda.

@@studioofmm Tutorial would be great also, my biggest downfall is how to make patterns from scratch.
@mrfochs5 жыл бұрын
@@studioofmm Yes please. I have actually taken the same great model and did a full digital resculpt of the head along the lines of what you did with the foam clay, but instead of changing the shoulders to allow for head movement, I modeled the torso to have smooth indent and the head to have a matching curved surface so the head can pivot in all directions, and also redid the ears to be more accurately shaped and detailed to images from the later episodes of the show. I also am working on an additional articulation to allow the wrists to twist (allow palms to lay on his belly - or - correctly hold a cup of broth/my coffee mug). The cloak/coat is the one thing I have no clue how to make since it involves skills outside of the computer or the paint brush. By the way, your little guy/gal turned out great!
