Personally I prefer this cover to AmaLee's becuase I think her version of it takes away from the whole feel that "Hey Kids!" was supposed to create. This one maintains the original funk and disorganizational feel while it does have unique characteristics that distinguish it from the original.

It's truly bizarre when English covers of Japanese songs ditch the lyrics that were already in English. In this case even more since it's the title of the freaking song.

It's a context based language, it's their job to the lyrics the flow better, and keep the same intent, and meanng of the song. Because if you've noticed, singing direct translations won't sound as good. So liberties must be taken, or it will come off as amateurist.
