Small, hopefully helpful tip, use frogtape to get clear lines instead of scotch or blue painters tape. I use this to keep clean edges on my paintings because as you experienced I was getting bleed through with other tapes. I'm not sure how it will be on a curved surface, I haven't tried it myself, but since it works better for painting in general it might be worth giving it a go.

hey! just a quick tip I thought might help you in the future. If you paint / spraypaint anything through a stencil, use the surface color first, let it dry, and then use the desired color on top! this way the edges end up being perfectly crisp, because the surface color already filled the cracks and creeks. so in this case like this: 1. put take stencil in eye shape 2. spraypaint in the blue/black original color 3. let it dry 4. spraypaint / paint in the yellow hope this helps! it's a trick from painting details on wallpaper and works wonders :)

@israelD0633 жыл бұрын
love your work, a quick simple way that worked for me when I'm spraying delicate or rough surfaces is to paint a small coat of the paint you're straying over then adding the color of paint you want to use over the first layer. for example the eye situation were the paint leaked, simply spray a layer of black over the masking tape and then spray the yellow that would stop the yellow from bleeding into the black under the masking tape. hope this makes sense....
