Two tips to get Danish friends: First, work hard on the language. It's free to take Danish lessons. It's a trap that Danes speak English. Imagine at a party. You speak English with the Danes and thats OK, but the Danes speak Danish between themselves, and you are sitting there and do not have a clue what they are talking about, you will start feeling outside. If you just understood what they were talking about, you can join the conversation in Denglish, that's OK. The more you speak with the Danes, the faster you will learn. The Danes are very much aware about the language is difficult, therefore you will get a huge respect when starting to learn. Believe me, your Danish friend will follow your progress, discretely off course. When they hear your progress, it is also a signal to you Danish friends/coworkers that you want to join our little Danish clan. From that point it will be much easier, people will help you with language, if you want them too. Second, I think Danmark is the country with most foreninger (clubs, don't know the English word). We have foreninger for everything, mostly around sport, but also other things like garden community, cooking food and many other things. I would say you will be able to find something you like. BTW, we do also play Cricket in Danmark. Google and ask them how it works, all clubs would like a new member. Joining a sport club is a good way, you will interact with other people that have the same interest as you. Point one, language. Point two, activities with other people. Good luck.

very early in the school-system danish children are learning to work in groups. I am 56 yo now, but I remember that we were taught to work in groups already from 2. class, when I was about 8 yo (48 years ago lol). Group-work is an essential part of the danish educational system. It can be time consuming and challenging, but I think it is also very giving. :)

Wow, that's really good to know Morten that group-work starts already from 2. class! There are really some very good points about Danish Education System. I will plan to make a video about it! :)
