OK, Since last year I've studied hundreds of hours on this setup but I have not saved enough to start the trading. Also compared it to butchers strategy and Zanger and others. For those who just throw numbers without actually studying it, here are some numbers that I've come to: 1. I ran the scan for the Last 43 bars: Since the IWM is consolidating in last 43 bars and the situational awareness in a low-cap market is not bullish... So it gives a good understanding of the setup even in not a bullish market... 2. According to my finding: From 148 stocks that had + 20% move, 33 of them had a momentum burst with continuation. 3. From these 33 momentum burst stocks, 27 had a successful break out and 6 failed (win rate of 81%)... ----- Some extra findings - Please correct me Pradeep if you think this is not correct: - Two stocks had a PERFECT SETUP (+80%) run after 3.87% green day. So I would adapt my 4% scan TO 3.8% to capture those extra good moves that in case I would miss in my scan... - In case the b/o doesn't work immediately but the stock doesn't hit the low of the day and consolidate, I would let it consolidate for 5 days before I close the position (unless it hits low of the day)... I noticed few good runs (3 or 4) had happened after 5 days after the 4% b/O. - The more linear and narrower the range, the higher chance of successes. I would say in a slightly uptrend it works as well but not a greenday more than 2.5% in any day of uptrends.

The type of information you provide; for someone who trades momentum stocks, it is undoubtedly the most valuable of all KZbin. I have no doubt that the study of charts in both daily and imo weekly time frames is critical to increase the chances of success. Thank you so much.

I hadn’t seen this video til just now, I made some studies in TC2000 for moves 50% YTD AND -40% YTD a couple months ago. Too many results though. Will give this a whirl, thx EG.

@Stockbee keep blessing us with great videos like this. I totally missed the long consolidation nuance now it fits in the puzzle why they don't breakout like small tighter one's. I have a question: suppose we tried an entry on tight pullback anticipating a breakout and SL got hit that day or day after, then will we still go for anticipation setup in that ? or we will let it breakout then re-enter on that stock? Also if there are many 40-50% movers coming from a sector should we dig in those sectors for more good setups that can unfold like leaders?
@Stockbeevideos Жыл бұрын
You can re enter. Look for setup quality more than sector.

Very informative video, thank you! I have a question: If you operate from a watchlist, and you buy into a consolidation or pullback, and then you see that it turns into a longer consolidation, where it does not break out, but does not trigger your SL either, then what do you usually do? Do you wait it out, or do you close it near break even after a few days?

I close position if it does not breakout in 2 or 3 days

Pradeep do you use "next earnings" in your conditional formatting of your chart coloring to indicate the earnings day in green? I tried next earnings>0.1 in formatting but does not show it on my chart...

How do we scan the market for stocks with such breakouts, is there a formula to enter (cap under 10B, breakout percentage etc)? I see TC2000 service doesn't allow scanning for free, to study this

I thought Pradeep only traded large stocks but then says all the people who make big money trade small stocks. I was under the impression he traded none of these small low float stocks because you cant have a tight enough stop.
