Thank you, I use the same example. On Reddit people say the same thing you said..."you can read watch all the videos about digital marketing but it means nothing until you implement it with internships, apprenticeships or some type of training." I could not get an apprenticeship with Acadium ... misleading. And you want $3k for what? From Seth course. Every one expect you to be an expert in the area of interest or they confused you with a virtual assistant. I see you DIDN'T go thru Acadium. Smart. Thank you for the helpful information.

I like your advice! But I'm going to have to pass on #4 because I always disliked taking notes. Taking notes distracts me from actually acquiring information into my brain. Plus I never really look back at my notes so there's not point in all the hand cramps. If there's a detail I missed or forgot, I can always rewind it.

Or do you recommend just skimming through because it’s just so much info to retain? Are you taking a course or are you trying to figure it out yourself? I would learn a bit of basics of Google Ads and take the certification. Then work on the portfolio worksheet after having some basic understanding

Hi! First off, are you interested in SEO or PPC or email marketing? Do you know which area you have a bit more experience in even if you job is more general? Second, to find a remote role just apply to companies that are out of state. For example, if you are in California apply to companies that are headquartered in New York. Let me know if that makes sense :)

I saw you’re interested in specifically PPC. In that case, I would brush up on Google ads. Then apply to coordinator or entry level roles. You should have an edge with your general marketing experience. Good luck!

I wish I could run Google ads. Now it says you need a registered company. However building a website on wordpress and tracking with Google Analytics can help.

Hi Anna, I built my own Wordpress website that Seth shows us step by step. At the time, I wasn't sure what topic to choose either. 😆 My site was about: "The Best Boba Shops in LA". Honestly, it didn't get that much traffic/clicks. But the valuable lesson was learning to create a Google Ads account, campaign, ad groups, and keywords. Hope that helps!

Hi Saibou! There are many different types of jobs within the digital marketing space (not just PPC or SEO). If you are interested in Facebook Ads, there are many "social media specialist" positions available out there for you. :)
