If anything, this game proved to me that the media is in on the fix with setting up the public's expectations on sports betting. If you watched ESPN this last week, you'd never know that UGA was an 8-9 point favorite. If you looked at the matchups, I don't think this game looked very good for TN. Ringo's problem is that he wants that "big play" every time. If he stuck to his assignment and focused on pressuring WRs instead of trying to play hero ball for those interceptions, he'd be a lot better as a defensive player. He got it in the natty, and he got it in this game, so mad props to him. But Kirby has notoriously laid into him during practices for this kind of stuff.

Coach Smart has done an outstanding job of keeping his stance on the trenches win championship, while slowly modernizing his offense every year, and just becoming a complete head coach overall. Great defensive gameplan. It exploited all the points made by Murf about how simple Tennessee’s offense is, but you also needs the defensive personnel to make it happen. I don’t wanna look too far ahead, but I’m hoping we get a UGA vs OSU playoff matchup.

However I must say it’s a great scheme defensively to allot guys to cover those routes to the outside understanding the Tennessee quick strike offense. I wasn't at the game but half my family was... I was in awe that y'all stuck out the rain. Where I am outside Atlanta, it was pouring at about the same time it was raining in Athens. It was hard to tell on the screen but it was POURING! The fact that very few if any fans left for cover is amazing. Y'all stuck in there and made a hella difference, soaked to the bone. The seven false starts killed Tennessee's tempo, they had bennet sacked in the backfield on his first TD(would have been a field goal), that punt was one in a million, and then it started piss pouring rain in the third quarter. It seemed the only route he struggled with was that comeback route Tillman was killing wirh that comeback all game but outside of that route he competed hard against a scheme designed to absolutely humiliate dbs and he didn’t allow touchdowns put on his head so I think overall the dbs as a whole played very physical and tight.

That's literally the only route those wide receivers run besides a slant route. He got a penalty on the slant and gave up every curl or comeback ran outside if the vert catch for an INT. Both times I did Tennessee content, they are able to isolate linebackers on Hyatt. Kentucky got it bas TWICE with a LB covering a slot fade against Hyatt. Exactly. It gave their offense a spark and gave UGA’s coach a reason to go super conservative on offense. So ironic to hear Tennessee fans using that as an excuse when they didn’t do sh*t for 2 and a half quarters without the rain. If the rain affected the game it kept them from getting blown out

In defense of the commenter at the beginning, Georgia only had six sacks coming into this game for the season and Kent State scored 22 points on them. Yeah Tennessee got masterclassed but they also had seven false starts because of the crowd, had bennet sacked in the back field but instead gave up a touchdown , the 75-yard punt to the 1-yard line was one in a million, and it started piss pouring rain in the third quarter. Perfect Storm. If Tennessee gets their swagger back and somehow make it to playoffs to face Georgia on a neutral field it'll be a different story.
