Wow! What a trip down memory lane! In France, they have this thing called "LE RAB", where every day there's a competition at the "self" to see who's the strongest. Even your closest friend can become a strong opponent. 😂 But French students are so warm and friendly, the experience of studying in France is definitely worth it! (I was personally in Biarritz.) Thank you, Mathilde, for these flashbacks.

This was quite actually interesting to watch, because there were quite some differences from where I'm from, like I had one afternoon each week on Thursday dedicated to tests and exams throughout the year, so we were in condition while taking the final exam, and when it was the edn of the year we had so many gaps in our timetable that we could simply not come to school. . . . . . . I'm french btw LOL so on n'a pas du tout le même lycée, vive les spés maths physiques (team maths expertes?) and for me there was two different sections in english, one for usual english teaching and one called "European Section" for those who have an excellent level in english and there was an extra discipline called "Non Linguistical discipline" (Team DNL SVT) which acted as a bonus for the final note of the Baccalaureate (20/20 EZ) where you speak more english, but you are not working the language itself, just discovering its applications in different domains. I wanted to specify that I tool DNL SVT and for some reason the timetable was so messed up for me that I didn't have lunch break the Friday MDR. High school was still fun af tho.

Since I started studying abroad and meeting new people from all around the world. I noticed a big difference between nationalities. Most nationalities I've met were so ignorant except for French people. They are amazingly well-informed and have a high level of general information. I'm from Iran, and my French friends knew a lot about Iran's geography and history, unlike other countries that don't even know what language we speak and think we speak Arabic. Anyway I was wondering how the French education system is. Especially in high school, what topics do they teach for geography and history or any subject that helps general information are they mandatory or not? I also want to know if there are different branches in high school because in Iran there are different varieties we had 3 main high school branches of 1. Literature and human science: for people getting prepared for becoming a lawyer or any other human science 2. Experimental sciences: that prepares the students for becoming medical doctor or geologist or things like that 3. Mathematics and Physics: prepares the students for becoming engineers We also have other type of school which teaches a variety of professions including architecture, arts, electronics and so on. Also wanna know how is academic education like in France. I know that for engineering school which is for university, you study many subjects, even biology and geology, but that's pretty much it. So please let me know.

woah woah woah, wait, I know wednesdays are a day off for most, but seriously!! you're in class from 8am to 6pm!!???? Why!!?????? work days aren't even that long. I mean I was usually at school from 8am to 7pm usually when I was in high school, but my academic classes ended at like 3:30pm and it was all extra curriculars after that.

In France we have really full schedules in high school. It depends on where you study but I remember that in my last year I had class from 8 am to 6 pm mostly everyday (except on Wednesdays when I had class from 8 am to 1 pm). The thing is that there were a lot of classes in my high school (around 10 or 11 per grade) so it was all about luck. And if you weren't lucky, you had a lot of "holes" in your schedule. For example, some days I had 3 hours when I had nothing. These were occasions to do our homework or enjoy with our friends. And to answer about the extra curricular things, that's not a part of our education. That's not an obligation, we just do it if we have time and during the weekends most of the time (but surprise, I also had class all the Saturdays during my 3 years of high school !)
