One of the main reasons I have LOVED this channel, is because you guys have always seemed authentic & genuine. Plus you both have awesome personalities!!! ❤
@Inconcvable772 жыл бұрын
One thing I LOVE about your sailing family that is different than others is that you're not afraid to interact with the locals. Sure you have to be cautious, but you are also showing your kids (and others by way of your videos) that not everyone is "out to get you" and how to PROPERLY interact with the locals and what blessings you can get from that. You all are a great example of how to be a "Global Citizen"!

Cam you just imagine growing up sailing around the world ! Some kids don't even get out of their provinces or even cities. Such a beautiful way to grow up and live 💕.

I'm more than a little concerned about the repairs, the effectiveness and the current status of the structural integrity of the boat. Seems we went from a really serious safety issue to huh, what happened(?) in a short span. The flexing of the hulls, the rig and the movement and separation of the bulkhead panels, (the film of which I cannot get out of my head)...I look forward to updates and under sail views of the repairs. All of that not withstanding, I'm continually impressed with what a great couple these two make. Bring on next week!
@JoaquimHenriques_12 жыл бұрын
Probably they will not talk anymore about that issue. In exchange for a free “Bulkhead Repair Kit”, they must sign NDA with Lagoon. The repair kit just works with unbroken boats. After being broken the procedure is very hard labor and technical, and the kit from the Lagoon is just one big joke. Check “Sailing Parlay Revival” KZbin episodes and you get the idea of the task… Crossing the ocean with the Lagoon in that conditions, broken bulkhead, is crazy!
@allanfifield82562 жыл бұрын
Worried myself. NDA for repair is a reasonable guess. Suddenly back to Happy, Happy but maybe they are using older un-posted material.

@@JoaquimHenriques_1 Please deal with facts, this boat is not even of the same vintage as a Lagoon 450 and built completely differently. From what I saw and what was said and not said, there was no broken bulkhead. If you dont have something contructive to say then dont say it !!!!

As echoed by others, I appreciate a snapshot at the "mundane, day in the life of, normal behind the scenes, maintenance projects" that happen when you live on a boat. Stuff breaks wherever you live - but you must have to be more aware (and agile) when parts and materials are harder to get depending where you are when things fail. I'm glad you've been able to put your structural boat issues behind you for now. And happy you've been able to rediscover the joys that started you making your first lap. Thanks for sharing your trip with us landlubbers.

I never imagined it was easy. It’s a life I want and I fully get the hardship, the discomfort, the fear. But you still do it. For me a lot is about just getting away from typical life in Europe/USA I can’t stand it anymore… and meeting people… seeing the world. And the issues will be mine to deal with… It’s a real case of feel the fear and do it anyway… and understand the fact it’s not an easy life… and do it anyway. I’ve set a deadline now and told relevant family that I’m off as soon as I can get things organized. I’m at the other end of family life to you… my wife of 31 years wanted a divorce… two of my three kids are adults. It’s now or never. I’m 55 and every year counts at this age. Love you guys Cheers Julian

OK I thought you were champions when it was just you and ashley, now I'm flabbergasted. How do you do it. Life on a boat - not easy. Life on a bost, sailing round the world - seriously not easy. Life onboard a boat for a circumnavigation of the globe with various stops and all the admin that needs with two kids. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. not to mention allergies.... If i had a hat I wouldn't be wearing it. P.S. I know you think your just living your lives and minding your own but seriously it is truly inspiring and amazing and wonderful watching you make so much of your time at sea. Well Done!

👍 💡finally some says/shows it as it is. Some people get the notion of, Blue sky's with calm wind (no bugs), white sandy beaches, clear water and everyday is a typical Sundowners evening. Oh, that's the Caribbean cruisers & channels. Do get me wrong. It's fun (sometimes) with lots of other things mixed in. My vessel was built in '65. Lots of fun 😀 🥴 daily. Thanks!
