Armorer here, good to see that tango down grips now ship with a special tool for the tabs. The 4 zip ties included were used to keep the tabs down during instillation.

I have noticed that taking that particular grip on and off a few times, the wear on the polymer causes ti to wobble and feels loose. I bought the QD TangoDown version of this grip to replace it.

Yay Guns!!! And Brownells is a fine operation- bought many a part from them and am getting ready to get a Geisele trigger for my 700. I still have the foregrip on mine, but have thought about pulling it for grip style. Oh well, decisions, decisions. Nice review.

yeh, i too really like the Magpul angled fore grip, it allows you to hold/pull the rifle in like you mentioned towards the end of the video. love that it has some storage, can never keep too many batteries with your firearm! just to touch on your intro point ...anyone who would try to make that statement 'c'mon... c'mon...' who owns rifles and doesn't know about Brownells?!
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+ChesapeakePiper - Yeah, it would be pretty hard to own a gun and NOT be aware of Brownells.

Great looking build Bradley! Living in the People's Republic of Massachusetts as I do my Mass compliant S&W M&P15 Sport has some limitations. I shoot mostly trap and skeet at my local club and didn't have much practical use for a long gun but I got an incredible deal from a member at the club who decided to lighten his collection before moving out of state. He'd put all of about 20 rounds through it before offering it to me. It's a blast to target shoot with and it has been pretty fun to accessorize within the rules here. I'm a big fan of the MagPul products and have "most" of what I wanted from them but one is probably never "finished" and so I'll give Brownell's a look see.
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+John E - I think they're really great, ergonomic and soft-shooting rifles. I'm glad you're able to own one in MA, even if you're limited.

All these years later and what do you know... I have a DD M4A1 FSP Block II just like yours... I guess I shouldn't be surprised - great minds and all. :)

Have one of these that I sometimes run on my Daniel Defense M4A1. I’ve always hated the fact that on the RIS II rail, it can’t be installed easily without removing the bottom of the rail first. Other than that, it’s a decent (if dated) VFG design.
@NateK91328 жыл бұрын
I hope you like the TG grip.. I found that I preferred the BCM grip much more than the TG. I really prefer a simple handstop (I use the Larue Tactical handstop). I noticed that you rifle was missing your Eotech.. Does that mean you sent it back for the refund like we talked about? Keep up the great videos!
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын

BRADLEY, IF U PUT IN A GIESELLE IN UR RIFLE, THEN I WOULD SUGGEST THE SSA-E. IT IS THE SPECIAL FORCES EQUIVALENT! I GOT ONE IN MY AR15 AND IT IS AWESOME! ALSO, I GOT THE STUBBY VERSION ON MY RIFLE! AWESOME VID BY THE WAY! PLEASE DO MORE!
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+cedrik9 - Actually, the SSA is the semi-auto equivalent of the SSF that Special Operations uses. The SSA-E definitely seems very cool though.

Since you don't use the fire grip like it's meant to( no big deal) I'm making a suggestion for you to buy an Angled fore grip! Which of course is slightly angled for a more natural hold !
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+addison davis - Yeah, I mentioned that I liked the Magpul AFG, BUT the TangoDown is actually issued to Special Operations troops, so I went with that for my Clone build.

I am getting the urge to build a classic full sized a2 style. That is what I mostly carried while in the profession of arms. I only got to play with the m4 every now and then. I wasn't one of the cool kids, so I had to deal with the old stuff. Of course accuracy wise my old junk was better. :-)
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+Ernest Sheffield - There's actually a growing trend towards "retro" ARs lately. I beg to differ on the accuracy question! My 14.5 inch heavy barrel has less "whip," than a 20 inch barrel and can be more accurate up to 300 yards. At extreme distances, the extra velocity given by the 20 inch does make a difference though.
@ernestsheffield99768 жыл бұрын
+Stuff&Things I'm talking about shooter, not gun. I was being arrogant. I actually used to be a pretty good shot.
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+Ernest Sheffield - I'm sure you're better than me! I'm not bad with a pistol, but I still don't have a ton of experience with the AR platform.

Good review. I like the build. I use the Barbie doll analogy rather than adult Lego for the platform. The adult is tacit so as not to have the girlfriend's mind to wander off course. Is the triangle front site a clone, ascetic, or other preference?
@stuffandthingsyoutube8 жыл бұрын
+Snowy Owl - The SOPMOD Block II program has both FSP (front sight post) and non FSP carbines in circulation. The non FSP version is more common, but I've been seeing more and more pictures from "the field" with the FSP in use. I just liked the look of it and found a good deal on the Daniel Defense RIS II rail with the FSP cut-out.

It just goes to show you that you really never know what someone might enjoy as a hobby. I have to admit, when I first came to this channel I never in a million years thought he was the type to be a gun owner. Reminded me about jumping to conclusions about people. lol I should know that better than most. There are people that a have known for years, and they freaked out when the topic of tattoos came up. They learned I actually have quiet a few. I guess I don't seem the type. LOL
