ismael medina reason why soccer is.popular is due to large influx of immigrants mostly latinos are into sport as a religion. no one cares about mls or usa team. look at most watch league is liga mx and basically watch by mexicans who are loyal to their clubs. LARGE NUMBER OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICANS INTO USA. thats why, but fact is these groups they are loyal and support their parents teams because they are actually good usa team and its fans are boring

From what i have heard talking to my friends from Chicago is that Football ( Soccer ) is becoming really popular. I have always said as well that if America took Soccer serious within 10-15 years they could produce some real talent and that's already coming to fruition with the likes of Pulisic at Dortmund & Brooks at Wolfsburg. It's good that soccer is getting more exposure in the United States because it can only benefit the sport. Its like the NBA & NFL overseas, its becoming so popular now. Look at when they bring there teams to London for a game, Tickets sell out in like a day its crazy but again its only good for the sports

Americans have good players but it starts from grassroots if americans academies and local football clubs wernt 1500 dollars for membership they would have more participants everybody knows that people from poor disadvantaged areas in e.g Brazil,France can be very good but the prices in America have made soccer a upper middle class sport everyone knows soccer is universal played by all races amd nations but in America you have to pay to play at least lower the prices a local club in my area is like €100 per year and a academy its €500 max or free in America its all expensive
