If you found the Murphy levels to be clunky in Rayman Legends, it's more than likely due to them having to find a work around, since they were initially designed for the Wii U gamepad. Outside of some skins, I still say the definitive version of that game is on the Wii U - but I understand that barely anyone even had that console.

I stumbled (heh) upon your channel due to a recommendation from SSFF. All of your videos so far have been incredibly high quality. Great work. However at the risk of sounding like an ass or something I noticed that your tone of voice in this video came off as very "game reviewer" esque if that makes any sense. I think your other videos also have this tone but up until this video it wasn't particularly distracting. Either way, you're clearly doing something right and I hope your channel grows in the near future. gl dude

I do think there is something I can do about it, it is just very hard to break out of that habit after doing it for so long on the radio. Maybe I can change up the way I write my scripts? But on the topic of Persona 5, if that doesn't convert you to turn-based RPG's, it's not risky to infer that nothing will. It's a game that manages to make the traditional RPG grind a little more tolerable.

I can see how. I think I would have been able to stomach the game more if the dungeons weren't so long and I was able to do more social stuff sooner. Kawakami really helped out with that, but man, those dungeons near the end got loooooooooooooooooooooooong.

Just finished watching it, and wow, your list is different from others, but i liked it, also shocked with your 1st place, i didn't play either Titanfall, but i heard only great things from the second one (if only EA put the game not between BF and COD.) Games you should try: -Celeste is wonderful, finally played it these days and the game is beautiful, gameplay is awesome and great soundtrack -Ultimate, i think that Ultimate is really great and it is still awesome. -I don't know if VN is your stuff, but this year will release a compilation of the 3 main Dangaroonpa games in one disc, those games are awesome. -Crash and Spyro, both are freaking good. -This year will also have the first 3 games of Phoenix Wright together, PLAY IT IF YOU DID NOT YET, too awesome. -Valkyria Chronicles is an awesome strategy/shooter game. there are more, but it's too many. Can't wait for more videos.

Thanks for watching, my man! Being a bit different than other 2018 GOTY lists was the goal. I'm a bigtime fan of the Ace Attorney series. Played and loved every game (aside from the ones that haven't been translated yet.) Danganropa is an interesting series I'd like to get into. Same deduction and reasoning stuff that I'm a fan of. Celeste has been on my radar since it came out. Definitely plan on playing it this year. Crash is on my radar, Spyro is on my fiancee's radar. Far as Switch games go, I don't have a switch, so I'm looking to see if they come out with a hardware revision before I decide to spring for one. Thanks for the suggestions! Looking forward to making more stuff!

Titanfall is weak don't be fooled. Fortnite is the best fps. And I tried to not play it but when I did I could see why people play. Gameplay is tight. Titanfall 2 was ok but not enough content to keep playing and it died quickly.

For Monster Hunter World you do indeed have a lot more to go. New monsters have been added for free since launch, stronger versions of Elder Dragons have been added via event quests providing new armor, and a recently announced expansion for late 2019 with even more monsters to hunt including returning fan favorites from the older games. Also you get a like and sub for Titanfall 2.

Wow no RDR2......im actually shock and impressed you seem really genuine on how to devide an aspect of a game. Because majority of the list is GAMEPLAY focus while some of the STORY and STORYTELLING of the game that you choose is innovative and unique while youre "FAVORITE" is combining them together like GOW.... Im impressed.. Ps. Can you explain why RDR2 is not on the list? I dont like RDR2 either because how baffaling that a mature adult setting of a game treating the player like babies...

It's not that I didn't like RDR2, it's just that I never actually played it in 2018! I plan on giving it a shot in 2019, though. And thank you for the kind words! I find that if I'm enjoying a game's gameplay, the story serves to enhance the experience. There are some cases where that's obviously flipped, like Nier Automata, but for the most part, I like gameplay a whole lot!

@@ichwalsadam9179 Yeah, NakeyJakey is great! I saw his RDR 2 video and thought he laid out his arguments in a really smart way. I played a ton of GTA 5 (have the platinum) and I thought the gameplay in that was fine. Not great, not bad. It's a big disappointment that Rockstar hasn't progressed much beyond that point though. The thing I hear the most about RDR2, and the thing that will probably stop me from playing it, is the idea that everything just takes forever to complete. From looting, to skinning, to the moving from one place to another, etc. I'm still probably going to have an alright time with it when I do eventually get around to it, but I'm setting my expectations lower.

Wow what you said about Persona 5 is exactly how I felt. I beat Persona 4 Golden like three times thats how much I liked that game so you know I was excited for P5. I thought the first half of P5 was really good but after that I got bored out my mind. I felt like the game was two to three dungeons too long, there wasn't much to the gameplay/story to get me to enjoy later half. I felt like Dragon Quest 11 was personally my favorite RPG on the PS4 and strangely what I loved in Persona 4 was more present in Dragon Quest 11 than in Persona 5.

Yeah for the cast of P4 was stronger than P5. And plus the hook that P4 has i think is much more intreging than hook than P5. But then again nothing keeps people more hooked than a mystery.

I'm going to need you to explain what else I should have done. I actually had a pretty good time with the boss fights because it felt like it made more sense to use buffs and debuffs and plan my turns out ahead of time, whereas with the fodder enemies, I just wanted to get that shit over with ASAP. If there's really something significant I missed, I'll absolutely boot it up again for a New Game+ run.

@@Stumblebee Well it really depends on which social links you hang with. Also if you want it to be less tedious then I would use the quick weaknesses button. It takes you straight to the monsters weakness if you have fought them before.

Commenting while watching, but while I didn't played through Persona 5 (yet?), this seems to be the usual Persona (or even SMT as a whole) experience for me as well. I never finished Persona 3, because I have this annoying dungeon to complete and I just can't. Now, I'm sure it is far better here, but I can still see it being an issue. Though in my case, I'm bored for different reasons : I'm a big JRPG fan and have done this too many times already.

From the praise I see for Persona 5, apparently they've made big leaps in dungeon design. There are a few that really get long in the tooth, but If you're a big fan of JRPGs, I can see you being a fan of this one. There's a lot to like there, but for someone like me, I wasn't all that impressed.

Persona 3 is doable. Smt 3 nocturne was unbeliavable. If you were playing without a guide, you could be stranded in a dungeon for 5+ hours. With few savepoints, then you die at a boss because you had no idea ge would use that 1 element your party was weak against. Aaaaaand you just are back to the half portion of the dungeon (at least 20 minutes from boss encounter). But with a walkthrough guide the game is much easier

@@ZoomingOut402 It wasn't hard, just really boring. Now I played the PSP Version, so I don't know how it compare to the other versions. But yeah, standard SMT games are far harder generally. I remember trying Strange Journey, and having a pretty hard time as well.

Dragonball fighterZ Red dead 2. Best games of the year. I tried fortnite in 2018 best fps of the year. Codbo4 and bfv suck. It's all about fortnite til a new battlefield 4 comes out. Or bc3 or battlefront 3. Also the year sfv came back to life with Arcade edition and the input lag patch. Resident evil 2 remake end of January and cyberpunk 2077 sure to be great games in 2019. MK11 coming in April. Prob be fighting game of the year 2019. I know my games checkout my channel. Dueces.
