Artillian Stump bucket is the perfect proportion for compact tractors, not too big, not too long. I welded mine to a blank SSQA plate and keep the double grapple on the frame full time. Artillian isnt the perfect system, but it works real well.
@ritterjon

Yes, it is just the right size for the BX and B series. Those longer stump bucket just don't give you the leverage you need. Keep on tractoring!

That Artillian stuff is very expensive...I'll keep digging out stumps by hand, yeah well, maybe the 1 or 2 stumps I end up with every decade or so LOL. The pallet forks I got are the Titan, the only negative is they don't have the 2" receiver hitch in the frame, but I can live without that as I have the 3 point receiver hitch which seems to work just fine for my applications. I like how Artillian uses the same frame for the forks, grapples, and the stump bucket. I really don't have enough use for the grapple, or the stump bucket to have justified paying 2.5x more for the pallet forks/frame. I have, however found many uses for my pallet forks already...those were one of the high priority purchase items on my checklist and when my dealer fell through on them, I knew I needed to get a set ASAP as I had stuff sitting in the way in my shop I had to move to better organize it after the tractor decided to move in and take up 1/4 of my shop space HAHA!! I palletized my roto-tiller...that's a chore all in itself trying to keep that thing from moving around and trying to fall forwards or backwards....its now chained to the pallet LOL. Dealer also fell through on the 60" mid mount mower so I'll have to scrounge around and try and find one by next spring....pretty sure that I paid for a mower in the $26k bill I have but of course the salesman never really wrote down everything like he should have so I don't have a paper trail to prove anything unfortunately so I'm out the $2500 for the mower and the $750 for the pallet forks. I did pickup a quick hitch, but its not exactly very useful when 1/2 your implements/attachments aren't quick hitch compatible...2 of them I don't have any way to make them compatible...the box blade supposedly was but it wasn't, I had to modify it to be compatible...the roto-tiller is the only thing I have that was actually factory built to be compatible with the quick hitch, and that quick hitch isn't very quick unless whatever you are installing or removing is on nice flat ground, otherwise you'll most likely end up with a mess like I had last week where only 1 of the pins engaged on the box blade, the other one was misaligned, talk about a pain trying to get that box blade back off so I could hook back up to it again. I cleaned off a concrete pad that I have out in my corral by my shop so I can use it to install and remove implements/attachments...so now that quick hitch works as designed LOL. Your scaffold implement/attachment storage solution is a great idea, too bad I only have 1 implement/attachment on it...I usually leave my box blade on the tractor as I use it and the loader most of the time, and the box blade usually works for ballast for most of my loader chores....if I use the pallet forks to move my roto-tiller I have to add weights to the box blade otherwise the tractor will tip over. I have 4 MTD suitcase weights for my lawn tractor's snow blower setup, so I throw them on the cross members of the box blade for additional rear ballast for lifting heavy stuff....works extremely well. I thought about buying a ballast box, but it would just be something else to have in the way, where the box blade is already here and I can add weight to it as needed. I think I may pickup a rear blade eventually, hopefully this spring. I picked up a sub-soiler from Tractor Supply a while back, but took the sub-soiler 2" blade off it and put a potato furrower plow blade on it and use it as a ditcher to keep the ditch out behind my shop cleaned out...worked very well for that, and I can switch back to the sub-soiler blade if I need to re-corrugate the pasture area back there. Edging slowly closer to the 25 hour mark...probably won't hit the 50 hour service mark till spring, at least I'm hoping...I don't have anywhere to do that service work in the dead of winter.

Great stump bucket with the added serrations for cutting and grabbing. I heard a train and saw the tracks. Makes me wonder if it is BNSF or CP nearby.

The stump bucket seems handy. How would it do on bigger stumps? For small ones why not pull them out with a chain?
@ritterjon
@ritterjon 2 жыл бұрын
Pulling them out with a chain wouldn't work because the BX might have the power but just doesn't have the weight to overcome traction loss. Keep on tractoring!

I’ll be doing the same job in a few weeks. 10 x 16 shed coming so I can move my BX25 from the open carport to an enclosed shed. Put 6x6 PT to define the pad. Still need to lay landscape fabric then the gravel. Nice job on that stump using the stump bucket.
